Support the show

SPEAKER_06

It's the fishing building number crazy colorful hair. It's dead. Come right from the chair with a chico play. She knows how to play.

SPEAKER_21

We got DJ Lucky C in the building. Hey no. Fresh off of set, right?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, you said.

SPEAKER_24

Just literally jumped off and y'all said, yo, can you get five minutes? I'm like, yeah, I'm gonna pull up, man. I'm gonna sit down.

SPEAKER_21

Like Pro was just saying, this is always something going on, man. Even when you're doing DJ shit. Of course, of course. What does Miami mean to you?

SPEAKER_24

Miami is everything, man. Miami is home. Miami raised me. Miami taught me everything, taught me how to survive. If you can make it down here, you can make it anywhere.

SPEAKER_21

Shh, the gutter for real. The bottom. Facts. Clip, like Pippo says. Oh, you have a favorite Miami movie or a movie that has like a scene that takes place in Miami?

SPEAKER_24

I don't know, man, because sometimes they do Miami kind of dirty, you know what I'm saying? Like they they'll say they're in Lil Haiti, but they somewhere in brickle or something. So I don't know. Like off the top, I can't think of, but I do remember when Bad Boys 2 came out and they had the Jamaicans and they were supposed to be Haitians. I was like, nah, nah, that ain't right. But I I like how they came came back and cleaned it up though. I like that. Legendary, legendary.

SPEAKER_21

Bad Boys 2's up there. You got the Scarface 2. That's a good thing.

SPEAKER_24

Scarface is good. You know what I'm saying? That's old school Miami, Miami vice. That's the you know the open shirts, the pastels. I like that. You're right, you're right.

SPEAKER_21

What's uh some favorite Miami slangs? Oh man Miami lingo.

SPEAKER_24

Uh Jit, you know what I'm saying? I love calling somebody a JIT.

SPEAKER_21

What's Jit for no somebody who doesn't know?

SPEAKER_24

So for JIT, you gotta that's somebody younger than you, that's a kid, you know what I'm saying? Or somebody uh like I have to use it, somebody you gotta take under your wing. Come on, Jit, I'm gonna teach you something, you know what I'm saying? Is Jit short for midget? I think it's short for Jitterbug. Oh, Jit. You know what I'm saying? Like, you know what I'm saying? That's the debate right now. So that's just my interpretation. You learn and you laugh on the aircast, G J C. I spell it J I T. You know what I'm saying? J I T me too, right? Yeah, I don't know. People, I think in Tampa, they spell it G I T. That's so annoying. That gives me OCD when I see that. I'm like, yo, what? That's crazy. You know what I'm saying? But JIT is definitely top up there for me.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah. And uh, do you have any favorite uh Miami Eats, Miami spots, local spots to eat at? Some spots you maybe want to shout out?

SPEAKER_24

Yeah, man, I'm the North Miami monster, so anything in North Miami, I'm definitely gonna represent, man. There's an Haitian restaurant down there, I'm gonna take you there. It's called Abon Goo. We're gonna eat there. Randy's is down there in North Miami, too. There's a couple of spots. If you want to eat good, I'm gonna take you down here.

SPEAKER_21

Anything you want to tell the people to uh tap in, anything you want them to check out?

SPEAKER_24

Man, make sure you tune in to 99 Jams Monday through Friday to turn up partners, DJ Lucky C, she J Hercules, number one night show in the city, 7 p.m. till midnight. Tap in with me at DJ Lucky C on everything. Hey now. Thanks for tuning in.

SPEAKER_21

Live on through five, we got Miami Legend, music industry legend, chaos. We're grabbing one in the building. Man, what's up, man? Yo, thanks for coming through. Thanks for sitting and chopping up with us. Thanks for popping out. What does Miami mean to you, Chaos?

SPEAKER_01

Um, everything. Um, it's the reason I'm here. Um, I couldn't miss a big holiday like this. Really? It's the biggest holiday in Miami. The biggest. You know what I'm saying? So I'm just happy to be here. I'd have heard my song a couple times when I was coming out the mall. Uh, shout out to Volume, Lucky C, all the DJs this here, man. Sam Sneak. Crazy lineup. Shout out to Derek G for putting together a crazy lineup. That lineup is like, it might go for a good little 24 hours. Ultra rolling lineup.

SPEAKER_21

All y'all take notes from what Derek G did today. Uh Chaos, what's a favorite Miami movie?

SPEAKER_01

Do you have like a uh what's a when you think of a Miami movie? What comes to mind? It's so many, right? But I'ma always go back to Scarface. I don't care how y'all feel about me. Tony Montana set the tone for so much. He gave you so many visuals from the deco art scene to how it really is down here to the integration of our family. You know what I'm saying? Our Hispanic brothers, that's family, my best friend Cuban, so I'm probably more Cuban than anybody that's watching this. The Weta, you know, like so it's like Scarface is my favorite. Even though I'm I'm starring in the movie Baghdad, we shot an Opalaka over a million views on YouTube, man. No promotion, just a lot of word of mouth, bruh. But yeah, man. Shout to shout out to them, shout out to Bloodline, but Scarface takes number one spot, man.

SPEAKER_21

What's uh what's some advice you'd give to somebody who's never been to Miami before that's coming for the first time?

SPEAKER_01

Um, it's not everything you saw on the postcards. So, so be safe. We the home of first 48. But other than that, if you respect our house, we're gonna respect you. Um, it's a beautiful place to see. Um we got a lot of things that it's like a big melting pot, bro. So it's a lot to see. And don't try to do it in one weekend. Uh get your money right, you know what I'm saying? Get you some coupons, groupons, and spend a week with us. You know what I mean? And see something other than the beach, because that ain't where it's at. You feel me?

SPEAKER_21

One of our favorite Miami slang.

SPEAKER_01

You got some Miami slang you like? Favor ones? Man, everything, man. Like, I don't I don't know. Jake gonna always be Reign Supreme. I'm working in high school now, so it's funny to hear them call me Unk and then turn right around and say, damn, Jick. I'm like, hold on, watch your mouth. Cause you younger than me, don't call me no Jick, man. I might have to, you know what I'm saying? Like, I'm still good with my boxing technique. So yeah, man. Everything about Miami, it just feels good, bro. Like, you know.

SPEAKER_21

You got a favorite Florida sports team?

SPEAKER_01

All of them. Yeah, I love them. You can put them in a blender, man. Like, I don't care when, lose, or draw, I'm still riding with all my teams. I just be sad during the playoffs. You know what I mean? You know what I mean? Shout out to all my teams, though. Shout out to the Dolphins, Hurricane Florida, Heat, everything, man. You know, Miami Heat, Florida, Marlins, everything. I'm talking about down to the college teams, down to the high school teams. You feel me? Like, we crushing it. Shout out to you, baby. Yeah, man.

SPEAKER_21

We out here. And uh, before you get out of here, what's one Miami food that you think you can't live without?

SPEAKER_01

Um, that's a difficult one, man, because we so Caribbean-based down here, like one minute I'm eating Grio and you know, um Belchian piccolies, and the next minute I'm over here in Lil Havana eating some Latin food with Cuban coffee, and then I probably got some Trinidadian roti in my system. You feel me? So I can't really, that's one I can't pick because we got so much to offer. We're not limited, we just not a pizza eating city. You know what I'm saying? That's facts.

SPEAKER_21

Y'all New York could have that. New York could keep that. But everything else, we got a bunch of options for you out here in Miami. Anything else you want to let the people know before we get out of here?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Grind Mole Chaos, man. I got a whole bunch of music dropping. Grind Mole, we got a sugar daddy music. That's a whole project dropping. We just dropped a new song with DJ Dickham down. Um, man, what we not doing, man. Like, we go viral every month. That's not a flex. That's me saying humbly thank you. That's not an easy thing to say, bro. Like, we never had no ideal coming from open mics. And your father know me. He knows me when we was the same height. Now I'm a little bit taller than him. You know what I'm saying? But man, I love what this culture has brought to us, man. So, man, I love y'all more than y'all love me, man. Trust me. You changed my life, you saved my life, man. Definitely, man. And always keep God first, man.

SPEAKER_21

Real talk. Y'all keep God first, too.

SPEAKER_01

Definitely.

SPEAKER_21

You already know it, man.

SPEAKER_00

It don't matter what it is. Everything there.

SPEAKER_20

We live in a surveillance state, dog.

SPEAKER_00

It's crazy. Yeah, man.

SPEAKER_21

But hey, speaking of states we live in, we're in the three, and you know we gotta have another legend out on here. Snap's leak. You already know the voice.

SPEAKER_00

What's happening, man? We here, man. Um, 305 Day. Happy 305 Day, man.

SPEAKER_21

Happy 305 Day. We've been doing it all day. Sam, what does it mean to you to be from the 305?

SPEAKER_00

Um I don't, you know, it's kind of hard to answer that when you, you know, when you just kind of from here. Like people come here and be like, oh, let's go do this, it'll do that. I'm like, that ain't really 305, and we don't really do that. You know what I'm saying? But I since you, you know, you visiting, I'll go hang out with you for a little bit.

SPEAKER_21

We'll give you the courtesy.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you know what I'm saying? Cause you know, when you from here, I guess we kind of spoiled. You know it. Yeah, because you know, when it dropped to like 59 degrees, everybody's like, hey man, I ain't yo, what I ain't signed up for this shit, man. Like, who turned on the AC in Florida? You know what I'm saying? Yes. It'd be like, it'd be like that. So, like, nah, it uh but it all jokes aside, it's beautiful, man. Just to know that the weather is warm year around, the people like it's a melting pot, a melting pot like of the West Indian, South America, you feel what I'm saying? And it's just like a uh like real variety down here growing up, you feel what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_21

Truly a United States. I've realized today talking to everybody. I've asked that question to a lot of people, and the answer is that the melting pot. And that's what this country is about. You feel me? That's what made America America.

SPEAKER_00

But that's what I ain't gonna lie, like it's it's a lot of it's a lot of certain things people talk about, right? And I get it from like from their standpoint or like where they come from, and I get it, but like in Miami, it's just it's just certain things. You just be like, oh, yeah, yeah, that's my dog. Yeah, I've been knowing a dog since we was five years old. Yeah, I know his whole family. They yeah, they all crazy. But but he said, he said, oh, he said, nigga. Oh, yeah, oh man, that's Chico. He good. All the Chico's down here say niggas, they niggas too. So it'd be it'd be different to kind of, you know what I'm saying? Cause when people come down here, they be like, man, that white boy say nigga. I'm like, what white boy? Where they at? Him right there. Oh man, he's talking about Chico, man. Dog, man, that's Chico, man. Chico beat your ass, man. Like, you know what I'm saying? Cause it's like, I don't know, it's hard to explain when you're from here. It's when you leave here, you realize, oh, oh y'all nigga, y'all think all that shit the same. Oh no, down that shit, we all niggas, man.

SPEAKER_21

It's almost like the whole state, or at least the whole South Florida, the bottom. We all have like an insider when it comes to the lingo and the south.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, the lingo diff is different down here. It just be like, you know, it's certain things, like, it's certain words I didn't even know you can't even say, and it's like it's supposed to be offensive. I'm like, man, nah. In Miami, that just means you doing some dumb shit. It don't mean, it's not, we don't even think about the Asians. I ain't even know that was an Asian slur, but that's just like something you just be saying, somebody like, hey man, you trippin', man. It ain't got nothing to do with Asians whatsoever, you know what I'm saying? And like our culture down here started for us like everybody can say at a young age, around 11, 12 years old, they outside listening to music, they ain't supposed to. Don't stop, pop that coochie, you know. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? It's like teen clubs, people young going to teen clubs. I didn't even know people ain't start hitting the clubs till they was for real 21.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, oh, yeah, shit. Everybody down Miami was on there. Completely different. You know what I'm saying? So it's like, that's that's that's in a sh in a long, short way of saying it, like that's what Miami, like coming from here. I kind of like that though. I go certain area, I be like, oh shit, yeah, I'm with the Chicos. I go to another area, okay, they go to Souls. I go to another area, oh, they go to Jamaicans. I go to another area, I be like, oh, these the niggas, the Argentinians, the South Americans over here. Oh, Brazilians, oh, okay. Like, it's different places all around Miami, and then it's like one skippity hop away from everybody go everywhere. This nationality, like eating this nationality food, it'd be like I might know a coup like I know a few words in Spanish, but I know a well, really a lot to get me by. Mommy Papi. Keep as old. You can defend yourself. You can get by. That's what's going on. Pichu got depoyed around the blanco.

SPEAKER_21

Ha ha ha, fire. That ain't making me hungry. On that same note though, on words we can say in Miami. What's one of your favorite Miami slangs? You got a favorite Miami slang?

SPEAKER_00

Miami slang?

SPEAKER_21

Yeah. Like a word they only say out here. Like jits dominated today. Everybody said jit.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean, yeah, jit. Hey, or like, okay, let me see. Um really, uh it's like a hey what they do.

SPEAKER_21

What they do, what they do, it's fine, what they what they do.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, off the chain, hey what they do, boy. Like I remember my first time I went to New York. I was like, what they do? Who? Damn, they don't they don't know who do down, they don't get that in New York. No, this back in this back back in the day, because I was my older cousins, right? They from Queens, New York, man, right? And uh long live Will, man. So it I would like like this my older cousin, they was always cool fly, you know what I'm saying? They from Southside Jamaica, Queens, so like I'm up there, I like I'm hanging out with them, seeing all their homeboys and stuff. So I be coming around, I'm young, trying to be cool. I'm like, but what they do? Well, who do? They, what they do, they're like, man, y'all niggas in Miami crazy. I'm just like, nah, I'm just that's what that's how we say, what's up? Like, you know, like how y'all say what up, son? Like, that's us saying, Who's who's son? Who's son is who? Like, yeah, you know, but that I that's one of my favorite sayings. Like what they do.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah. What they do. You got any favorite Miami foods? So it's a melting pot. There's so many different kinds of foods out here. What's like a go-to? What do you think you eat the most of?

SPEAKER_00

Caribbean food.

SPEAKER_21

What kind of Caribbean food? That's a Chico. There's too many islands of the Caribbean.

SPEAKER_00

Then that's where it gets complicated. That's what we're trying to figure out. I just told you a Spanish uh plate. So shit, I'm gonna get me a Tasso Cabu with Digicole. You feel what I'm saying? Or I might get me the like the curry goat with rice and peas. Wow. You see what I'm saying? I don't know like where else we want to go. Oh, that's perfect.

SPEAKER_21

That's honestly, you gave him the big three right there. Spanish? Yeah, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_00

But I guess like you wanna get some fried chicken. It gets deep out here. Yeah, you trying to get some sweet potatoes or sweet plantains, you feel what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_21

How you know all this food, and you're so skinny, sneaky. What's going on? That's what they fit.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean, I ain't gonna lie. I got a fast metabolism. I think that's what it is, and I'm blessed, I guess. You know what I'm saying? All that I'm telling you, I don't like that's really good food. Oh, yeah. You got church chicken. Then you got like, when I used to eat pork, you had the fried pork. You can get for any Caribbean restaurant, but specifically Haitian one is really good. You can get you like yellow rice with well, I like the yellow rice with like they think I'm weird, but I like the yellow rice with the black beans and the um grilled chicken breast steak. Fire. Because you gotta like cut it, then you add a little lemon to it, and then it just like then they got the onions right there too. You can either get them like raw or grilled, grilled preferably. You feel what I'm saying? I'm just if y'all need to know. Yeah, and I don't know if anybody needs to know.

SPEAKER_21

I think we're all hungry now.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, I'm just I'm just saying, you ask the question. I'm just trying to answer it.

SPEAKER_21

And one last piece of advice for somebody coming up in Miami.

SPEAKER_00

Um, stay focused. Stay focused. You know, it's a lot of distractions in Miami. What you asked me earlier, what I like so much, and we just rambling on all the good stuff, like stay focused. Facts. It's gonna be a lot of time, like, you know, the more focused you are and disciplined, stay focused and disciplined, and you'll achieve anything. And that means anything. You you stay focused and be consistent and disciplined, there's nothing that can stop you. Only yourself. That's the only thing that can stop you in real life.

SPEAKER_21

And if you can make it out here in the 305, you gotta try to make it in every time.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know everybody say that where they're from, but nah, yeah, but I don't know everywhere got like beautiful women. And I'm talking about, I don't care what school you went to, whether it was the opportunity school, the jail school, there's uh pretty girls in every school in South Florida.

SPEAKER_21

Facts. I went to three different high schools.

SPEAKER_00

Every school. Then there's people, I don't care what school, where the neighborhood is at. It's somebody cousin, old boy, whoever, dropping them in the biggest luxury car. Like, so growing up, we see so much. It's hard. That's what I'm saying. You gotta stay focused. Stay, you gotta stay focused out here. Stay focused. That's that's why I tell it, stay focused and discipline. Because a lot of out of town is coming out here and get caught up in the little web, it's it's easy to get. And everybody just mind they business. They don't be they be like, whatever. Every everybody down here bears. The only thing that, in my opinion, keep this going is respect. Don't nobody, don't nobody feel nobody down here. That's the only reason this shit ain't flat line. Everybody down here violent. It's a melting pot of West Caribbeans, you feel me? But it's the respect that keep it like in line where it's at, just to be honest with you.

SPEAKER_21

100%. Any uh any projects or anything you want to promote for the people before we get out of here?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, man, I got some stuff coming real soon, man. Um play around for it, hit me up. Y'all can come on my TikTok in the mornings. I be doing my little joke mornings, you know, just on some Florida shit, especially Miami. I play a lot of like homegrown artists and stuff like that. Big shouts out to you be, man. We go back, still5hiphop.com, back way back. For those who know, if you know, you know. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's when outside was outside. You know what I'm saying? And you had to be outside to go over there and hire Leah to go over there. So, you know, you know what I mean. And if you don't know, now you know Facts.

SPEAKER_21

Thanks again, man. Appreciate you. We don't get it right into a long one. Sometimes things get exciting. But this is an exciting moment because we have DJ Pee Wee sitting with us, right?

SPEAKER_38

Hello, yes, I love it. Thank you for sitting down with us. Fresh off a set, right? Yeah, fresh off, fresh off. I'm hot a little, man.

SPEAKER_21

So DJ here and all, but hey, she's taking the time out to sit with us and I appreciate it.

SPEAKER_38

100%.

SPEAKER_21

What is being from 305 means to?

SPEAKER_38

Well, I'm actually from the 954. 954? But I'm a rapper. Yes, okay. But what it means to me, it means being sexy, it means being multicultural, it means being different, it means there's so much that Miami being from the Miami area South Florida. South Florida, yes, there's nothing in the world like Miami area. Yes, yes. We live where yeah, vacation. You dream of vacationing too.

SPEAKER_21

How many of y'all maybe never seen a beach before in your life?

SPEAKER_38

Or no, a palm tree. Palm tree. A palm tree. A palm tree.

SPEAKER_21

Okay, uh any favorite Miami slings?

SPEAKER_38

Bro, yes, no, but no, yes. Guys, guys, that's a good guy. Bro, yeah, bro's a big one.

SPEAKER_21

That's a true thing.

SPEAKER_38

Or um no, the yes, no, no, yes, that's me.

SPEAKER_21

Also, bro is a woman thing, because I think bro, like, is a United States thing. Guys say bro, bro, bro.

SPEAKER_38

But like as a woman, we say bro, bro. Like, we just say it for everything.

SPEAKER_21

It's almost girly to say bro in Miami. That's gonna be.

SPEAKER_38

100%. Yeah. I have a story with my stepdad when he first like came in the picture. He's Mexican, not from Miami. And we were talking, and I was like, bro, like this. He's like, I'm not your bro. I'm like, yo, chill out. You're in Miami now, first off. Like, get used to it, but yeah.

SPEAKER_21

So that's cool, okay. And talking about the silky, the party?

SPEAKER_38

No, honey. Honey, honey, honey, honey, yes, yes. It's a party for the honey, for the baddies. We don't say baddies anymore because I think baddies have negative connotations. Rat ratchet, like bad, bad connotation. I don't know putteria, but I also love elegant, luxury, sexy experiences. That's not a ditty party. I like it. I'm not honey. Money's like a step up from them.

SPEAKER_21

I like it.

SPEAKER_38

Yes, hashtag no ditty though. I gotta emphasize it. But yeah, it's a party for the honeys. That's not to say that men aren't allowed, but it's a cool party that celebrates women, the honey, where you can feel sexy and beautiful and the guys get to look, not touch.

SPEAKER_21

And this is women's uh national women's month, right? So that's awesome.

SPEAKER_38

It's honey month, it's honey month. It's honey month.

SPEAKER_21

Advice for guys uh for guys, not just going to a honey party, but parties in general. Like, what's an advice for? Like talking to the honeys, like what's can I curse? Say whatever you want.

SPEAKER_38

Don't be a pussy, don't be a pussy. Like, talk to women. I feel like it's the culture now. I as a DJ I see everything in the club, right? I feel like men are real timid now. Like talk to the women. Like, don't just offer a drink, just be more manly, masculine, you know? That's it.

SPEAKER_21

The Chico is the drink, but you gotta earn the drink. You gotta like make them almost work for it, but you gotta work for yourself. Yeah, you can like it.

SPEAKER_38

But don't be creepy though. Like, she's not feeling it, she's not feeling it. But like, I think right now we're in an era of like feminine women or feminine men where they're just like a little more like I'm the prize. No, the honey is the prize.

SPEAKER_21

And the true alphas are getting those prizes, and you know, that's that's part of it. You gotta get that. You feel me? Not everybody's.

SPEAKER_38

Right, right, right, 100%.

SPEAKER_21

Where can they follow you? Where can they check you out?

SPEAKER_38

Uh Instagram, TikTok, everything at P-E-E-X W E Z Y P X Weezy. The real DJ Pee-wee. Anderson Pack stole my name. You weird as hell, but the real DJ Pee-wee.

SPEAKER_21

So she's the real DJ Pee Wee right here with us. Thank you for sitting with us. I love to have you on the show for a long episode.

SPEAKER_38

Whenever, whenever, whenever. Love it.

SPEAKER_21

Thank you for tuning in, y'all. Now, folks, we got the legendary DJ and Tice. I know you've heard the name, especially if you've been in Miami as long as I have, or even less or longer. Who knows? But I know for sure you've heard the name. Yo, thanks for chopping it up and sitting here.

SPEAKER_09

It's a pleasure. Thank you for having me, bro.

SPEAKER_21

Thanks for coming out and represents the city today, too, man. Important day.

SPEAKER_09

Holiday, right? Of course. This is a huge holiday, like not just here, but across the country. Because they gotta understand everybody comes to Miami, everybody parties in Miami, everybody loves our Miami women. So we gotta celebrate Miami.

SPEAKER_21

You can even argue the world at this point, though. This might be the party capital of the world. So I'm sure there's somebody in Dubai, somewhere in Europe right now, maybe even in a world, I forbid, but they're like, yo, it's 305 day, let me have a shot. You know, let me have a little something or something.

SPEAKER_18

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_21

Yo, and DJing in Miami, being in the music scene for over 20 years, seen a lot of change, seen a lot of seasons come and go. What's one thing that's been constant in Miami all this time?

SPEAKER_09

Man, I would say like the rooted love that and unity that Miami really has. Like, a lot of people in Miami will say, oh Miami, you know, we're not unified, we don't support, we don't, but then you go to an event like this, right? And you see different radio stations, different DJs, different artists, and everybody like love having drinks and like just being unified. The lives, yeah, Miami, Miami has something that other cities just don't have when it comes to that.

SPEAKER_21

It can't recreate it. And it's it's it's kind of in our blueprint, yeah. You know, because you so many immigrants, I feel like coming out here, I think kind of influences that mindset where we are we all we got. You feel me? Like it's literally us in the system. So I think that's beautiful. I think that's something other cities maybe should take note of. Uh, do you have any favorite Miami slangs? Any favorite like words you you got? Miami coded words?

SPEAKER_09

I mean, obviously the crib, right? The crib. You from Miami, you say the crib. You know what I mean? Like uh another one. I mean, I don't know if they would say it's Miami. I would say it's Miami, but I'm finna go to the stove. Like, I'm finna, you know, like I'm finna I'm finna, I'm finna, like, you know, I'm finna do that.

SPEAKER_21

Like, I'm finna run out here real quick. I'm finna do this, yo. I'm finna run it up right crib. I'm gonna do this podcast right now.

SPEAKER_09

You know, or like, like, yo, my little jit, like Jit, J is dominated today. Jit is dominated today. Like, that's just Miami, the crib. Yeah, Jits dominated today. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_21

Shout out all my Jits listeners. Yeah, right, right. Uh and then I asked Milzy, shout out Milzy, uh, what's an advice you'd give to somebody coming going clubbing in Miami?

SPEAKER_09

Nowadays, and I hate to say this because it it affects me, right? You gotta have money. Like, save up. If you plan on going out this weekend, save up the whole week. Don't don't go get takeout all week and and spend money on Uber Eats and all that. Like, save up because it's expensive.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, would you rather some like low-budgeted nights every day or one raw night out? You know what I mean? Like, you gotta make a choice.

SPEAKER_09

To me, I think Miami has South Beach. That's where you go if you want to have the high class, I want to stunt, I want bottles, I want all that. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, but we got Brickle, we got the hoods, we got Hyalia, we got the spots.

SPEAKER_09

Right, but it seems like now all those other locations, every other part of Miami wants to kind of have that Miami, that South Beach uh template where it's bottle service and high expensive rice.

SPEAKER_21

It is a template, it's kind of like yes, so it's like Winwood started getting on that. And they used to never be on that.

SPEAKER_09

You go to Winwood in your shorts and a t-shirt. Now it's like, oh, if you go to Winwood, it's like South Beach. It's bottles. Clubs, yeah, it's clubs, yeah. It's not the same. So it's no difference. Wow, I wish I wish every night in Miami was back to that. Like go out and sweat and party and dance and not worry about I look better than you with my girl, my my table. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_21

Like not about how you look, it's about how you feel. Yeah. Real talk, real talk. And uh what's uh any special projects or anything you're working on right now? I know you're constantly on the code.

SPEAKER_09

Oh yeah, I mean I'm constantly working on mixes. I do uh mixes for Apple Music, and of course I'm on the radio. Um, but I'm actually I was working on a personal album project. I put that aside because right now I'm actually uh producing records for other artists. Nice. So that's kind of where I'm um I'm doing. Like as far as personal album, I have records that I've done that are in the chest. In the vault, in the vault, in the chamber. Waiting for that moment, but right now, like I'm focusing more on doing my production. Any name for the for the project? Uh so I've already collabed with um Buster Rhymes, OT Genesis, uh Ace Hood when Ace Hood was still doing big, uh T-Pain, uh French, I think I said French Montana, Sway Lee. I'm doing a record with Sean Paul, sexy red, yeah. Yeah, like I'm I'm hustling. Using what I've done built as a DJ, I'm using those relationships.

SPEAKER_21

Making those calls now, calling in those favorites. Exactly. Uh is there a title for the project?

SPEAKER_09

Uh so my project was the plan is to was for it to be named the Julia Tuttle. The Julia The Julia Tuttle. The Julia Tuttle, which has history for the crib. You want to explain that right quick? So if you know, if you if you know about Julia Tuttle, she's basically like the mother of Miami. Like, she was one of the women that like the founders of Miami. Yeah, one of the first big names. That's why if you know, you you know the Julia Tuttle Expressway and all that. You know what I mean? Like, so to me it was like, well, if I want to rent the crib, but I want to do it differently. Very different. So I said, let me name it this. Shout out Zoe Dallas, too. Shout out to Zoe Dallas. Zoe, Zoe kind of helped me come up with that like idea. Yeah, yeah. Like we were spitballing ideas because he was helping me when I was working on the project.

SPEAKER_21

Deep in he's deep deeply connected to Miami too. I think his family is something like that.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah. Zoe's deeply connected. He's always right at the crib too. So yeah, so he helped me come up with that idea. Where can the people follow you at? And of course he's like, uh man, I'm on TikTok, I'm on Twitter, I'm on IG, I'm on all of that. At DJ Intice, E-N-T-I-C-E. That's how you spell it. Apple Music, you can get my mixes on there, SoundCloud, all of that.

SPEAKER_21

Bangers, bangers. I listen to some of them when I work out. Yo, you know, man. Thanks for doing it. Thanks for up in the crib as well. All day. 305, baby. Yo, yo, yo. And you may hear a lot about how Miami's a crazy place. Some might call it a crazy hood. Woo! Oh, I like that.

SPEAKER_13

I like that. I like that.

SPEAKER_21

So you know we have to get uh two representatives of one of the craziest hoods of all time, Kendall.

SPEAKER_13

That's right. We got Weird Thoughts and DJ EFN in the building. Crazy hood! Yo, for real. Dream Champ Sports and on half of the Dream Champs itself, EFM, bro. That's right, what up?

SPEAKER_21

Guys, I gotta ask, what does it mean to be from the 305 to each of you?

SPEAKER_13

No, Paul, you you you said it off. I want to hear what he's gonna say.

SPEAKER_29

No, to be from 305 needs to meet the energy is high, the the love is real, the the the representative of where you're from, the house, the land, you know, the town, the city, there's a big history. We're here to represent it on all levels, from all genres of music, sports, history overall. We we we the people you meet, man, it means everything. It means everything. And we boat transplants. EFN is not from Miami, and I'm not from Miami, but we love Miami.

SPEAKER_21

But we love Miami, and we're gonna say, yo, by the way, and we are Miami.

SPEAKER_13

Hey, it's not about where you're from, it's about where you're at. Okay, listen man, I have so much love for this city that raised me. Like he said, I was born in LA, raised in Miami, since elementary school. And what I think is so dope about our city is that it has so many cultures, ethnicities, races, and that that fucking mixture of multicultural like mush fit creates such beautiful stuff when it comes to art, you know what I'm saying? Put aside differences, Miami's the illest when it comes to like when all these different cultures come together and spits out what it spits out, which is Miami vibe, Miami, like Miami in this, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_21

This live 1305, this whole community, this unity, everybody come out together.

SPEAKER_29

305 Day has become something so monumental that it's good to see everybody show up, it's good to see everybody activated.

SPEAKER_13

I want to throw something out there, and I want to throw it out for debate actually. Because we were talking about this on the way here. From our standpoint, and I might be wrong, but from our standpoint, we feel at Crazy Hood that we were the first to represent 305 as a representation of the city on a t-shirt. On a t-shirt, on flyers, on anything. Real talk. Now, I put it out there for debate because maybe I don't know someone that did it first. We we did it like in '94.

unknown

Wow.

SPEAKER_13

Because we saw we saw New York rep in 718. So we were like, oh, we'll rep our area code too, 305. It wasn't like a thing. You know what I'm saying? So we put it on t-shirts. I don't know, you'll be do you know anybody before 94?

SPEAKER_33

We were doing it early 90s, but Jay Pure is the first guy I ever saw in a rap battle, throw up the 305.

SPEAKER_29

So you'll be from THC said good, bro. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, you'll be from THC said that he saw Jay Pure from Streetlight Poets do it, and we love that, and we respect that too.

SPEAKER_13

Right, right. Right, when he was with Brimstone. He was rocking with Brimstone.

SPEAKER_10

He was before this.

SPEAKER_13

The Joint Chiefs, he did the Joint Chiefs stuff.

SPEAKER_29

Yeah, that's history right there. That's history right there. And by the way, R.I.P. JP.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, rest in peace, but I don't think JP was around when we w when we came out.

SPEAKER_29

No, he wasn't even in Miami yet, no.

SPEAKER_13

Yeah, bro.

SPEAKER_29

That's a fact.

SPEAKER_13

I'm telling you, I'm telling you, it's up for debate. I might be wrong. This is a great debate. We just know in the comments. It was the first time you saw it. A lot of people will be like, no, no way, because it's such a big thing now. But I'm telling you, we have old shirts like 90, end of 93, 94, that we put 305 right here. And nobody was really doing that yet.

SPEAKER_29

But before the context gets out of hand, we're not just clinging to the fact that that's what we did first. That's just one of the many things that we accomplished and we achieved in our journey. Three putting the 305 on the shirt was part of the process that we did when we were elevating the hip-hop uh uh community and we were elevating the hip-hop uh situation for us. The landscape. For us. So we did the crazyhood.com early on. We did the 305 on the shirt early on. We did a lot of mixtapes as far as EFM being King of Miami early on before a lot of people were doing mixtapes. So that's just one element before somebody wants to say that we're holding on to just that one fact.

SPEAKER_13

The reasoning why we would we did the 305 thing in general and even Kendall is because in the hip hop scene in Miami in the early 90s, it was not cool to be from Miami. It was a lot of New York transplants or New York wannabes. Wow. Right? No disrespect to New York, but I'm just saying the identity of hip-hop in Miami was very New York centric. So when you went to a New York guys cosplaying in Miami, uh hip-hop club or hip-hop thing, very New York centric, people were not repping Miami. Unless you went to like, you know, if you went to like uh Jamponi Express or or you know uh Sugar Hill DJs, like a Miami-based thing, that's very Miami. Yeah, loose. Hip hop was considered like this New York thing, but we were hip-hop heads from Miami. So we made it our mission to be like, nah, we from Miami.

SPEAKER_21

Branch out.

SPEAKER_13

That's why we did 305. We repped Kendall hardcore, repped Miami hardcore. That was that's the reason we had to like overdo it. You know, to like to like we wanted to lead the way.

SPEAKER_21

So, as two transplants, what's a piece of advice you'd give to somebody coming to Miami for the first time?

SPEAKER_13

Uh don't negate that you live in Miami. Don't don't don't don't carry where you come from and that be your whole identity. Like if you're living here, then be live here, be present in Miami. Yeah, be a part of the the fabric of Miami.

SPEAKER_29

But but on on the same, on the flip side of that, and you don't have to ignore your history. No, of course. You don't have to ignore where you come from, whether your roots are in a different area. The fact that you're in Dade County today, the fact that you're in Miami today, the fact that you're elaborating and building on your own career success today with the community that's around us, yeah. Love Miami, be Miami, you know, shout out to Miami, and then your history is also part of that.

SPEAKER_13

The thing that we used to always say is if you pay your bills in Miami, if you pay SPL, pay your phone bill, then rep Miami. Like it's it's time to let go a little bit. And look, and me being originally born in LA, I was super proud when I found out that the Two Life Crew was originally from LA. Oh, really? Not Luke, but Fresh Kid Ice. Really, uh, Mr. Mix, and was I think they all met in LA. They were in the military. So it was it was uh, yeah, Brother Marquise had songs with Ice C back in the days. So for me, I'm like, yes, of course. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_29

Like, yeah, absolutely. And you know what? And that's part of the history, whether it's Miami history, New York history, hip hop history, that's still part of what it is. So even the people that we love and we consider icons and legends in Miami, we are too. And we love that we're able to acknowledge that and salute that and praise that and still celebrate their music today. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_21

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_13

Anything you guys want to promote right quick to let the people know about? I mean, you know, obviously Drink Champs, Drink Champs Sports, uh, CrazyHood.com, Heckler, Don't Forget the Three Letters. We got a new song that we might we might tease the song tonight. Because what we're doing now is that we're doing a song that represents Crazy Hood for the year until Crazy Hood Day. And then we perform it on Crazy Hood Day. That's what we did last year with Don't Forget the Three Letters. So this year it's a song called Crazy Music. So we want, you know, check it out. You know, we're gonna start hearing about Crazy Music. I thought we were gonna say Fly Tetas. Well, Eddie Giggs, shout out to Eddie Gang, Fly Tetas.

SPEAKER_29

Well, you're in the circle. You're in the room if you heard that.

SPEAKER_13

Circle of trust.

SPEAKER_29

Yeah, uh Grumpy O'G's Grumpy O'G's, Eddie Giggs, the ass eater. He got a new single out called Fly Tetas. We all over it. We promoting it, we pushing it. There's no clean version, so don't ask for it. But yeah, shout out to Eddie Giddy for stepping out uh outside the circle, outside his norm and doing something. He performed last year for uh he opened up for Jazzy Jeff, and we're proud of that, and we're saluting that, and we're still moving forward.

SPEAKER_13

Yo, let's acknowledge that in the building is JT Money. Some of the poison clan is here. Yes. Like Grime Mode, the homies are here. Like just my playoffs, Jesse, yeah, Miami Legends in the building. Shout out Derek G. Shout out for putting this together. System is in the building, like there's a lot of legends here, and that's what's dope, man. We're all here just humbly being the community representing Miami. Yeah, and you know what?

SPEAKER_29

On that level, being that we he just shouted out a lot of the legends and icons, Miami is still exploring new talent. So at the same time as we saluting all JT Money and Poison Clan, other people, we also gotta salute the Young Bloods. We gotta salute Fein. We gotta salute Curly J. We gotta salute Nick Garcia with the Pinga. We gotta salute you guys doing your podcast. I know you got your own music that you're promoting. We gotta salute Shadow League. We gotta salute a lot of people because Miami is still growing every day.

SPEAKER_21

That's what makes us great. We're constantly growing and we're constantly opening people.

SPEAKER_29

And Eddie Gates.

SPEAKER_13

It's about to be the biggest hit that never happened.

SPEAKER_21

Listen, y'all listen to Flight That Dozen, let us know how you feel about it in the comments.

SPEAKER_13

It's not an official Crazy Hood joint though. Appreciate y'all, man.

SPEAKER_29

Love, love, love, love, love. Yo, hey, here's a cigar, yo. Here's a crazy hood cigar.

unknown

Take that shit.

SPEAKER_13

Didn't I get one of these too long?

SPEAKER_29

No. No, you didn't get one.

SPEAKER_13

No, but I got one like this.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_13

No, but I got something like this.

SPEAKER_21

And of course we gotta continue with the legacy, the legacy building out here in Miami. That bust the free out here. Get them free? Get them free for the shit. What we doing? What we doing? We've mentioned you a couple times on the show already. Shout out to Larry Dog. Shout out my bob, shout out a bunch of people who brought you over from the show.

SPEAKER_37

Larry Dog, what's up, man?

SPEAKER_21

I gotta ask, what does it mean to you to be from Miami? Be from the crib?

SPEAKER_37

Um shit. I just feel honored, man. You know, I ain't asked to be here, man. You know, it was all on my mama and daddy, conceiving the real nigga. You feel me? But at the same time, I just feel proud to represent Dave, man, because you know, ain't no place like Miami, man. This way everybody wanna be, man. So just to be a part of the culture, man, it's all good. I love it.

SPEAKER_21

When I ask, if I ask you what's a early memory you have about Miami, like in the early days, or what do you think of first? Think about like a place or something?

SPEAKER_37

Like on some legendary time when I um I grew up in Liberty City, man, around like the John Doe era. You feel me? So, you know, like like Atlanta, they had BMF and they had like every city. Had they gangsta, those was my gangster niggas I looked up to. That was like my my historical moment of what I witnessed in my childhood growing up. Live through. You actually live through, so it's close to it. Yeah, I was in the middle of. They should write a movie about it, man. I think it'll be very interesting, man. Yeah, maybe they're waiting on you.

SPEAKER_21

We gotta leave them together, maybe.

SPEAKER_37

Shout out to Bub, Corey Smith, man. He's coming home soon, man.

unknown

Wow.

SPEAKER_21

And uh, so go what about in Miami? Like, you got some Miami slang you you hear often? Like, what's a favorite Miami slang?

SPEAKER_37

Oh shit, you know, we got our own slang. They think we bama like when we go to other states. Like, we just scrape directly to the point. Like, bitch, what's handing, man? Nigga trying to smack something, you hear me? Hey, what's handing, bitch? Nigga trying to take you through there. You know, man. It just we just like straight to the point, man. We don't cut no corners, man. No, no half stepper, no. Straight broken English, man. It's finest.

SPEAKER_21

What would be a piece of advice you give to somebody to somebody coming out to Miami for the first time?

SPEAKER_37

Uh well condom. And stay out of areas where uh you can't be a goldfish in a shaw tank, man. You just gotta know how to move, man. And stay on your shit and you know, and enjoy yourself, man. It's a nice place to visit, but you don't want to live here. JT Money Ben told us that. You feel me? Learning how to swim is learning how to win in Miami. Definitely that.

SPEAKER_21

And you wanna tell people about any upcoming projects, any upcoming songs you all?

SPEAKER_37

Um, you know, I got plenty of songs. I'm a catalog type of artist, man. But you know, I just dropped a brand new single called No Tea. You feel me? It's it's it's catering to the woman with no dentures, man. We want to feel gums now. We tired of putting our dick in their mouth getting scraped up. You feel me? Jim Carrey would agree. We giving the women with no dentures, you getting all these veneers and shit. We want you to put your dentures on the dress and let us feel scraped gums, man. That's how we're coming for the new millennium, man. No tea. And that is truly some Miami shit. Hey, hey, that's 305. Legendary.

SPEAKER_21

Like, where can they find you at, boss?

SPEAKER_37

I'm at everywhere, man. Buster Free 305 on all platforms, man. Wikipedia. Um, what else we got? Google search, wherever, man. Bus the free 305. And one more message to the people before we get out of here. One more message to the people. Uh put a guard first and stay focused and don't let none distract you from what you're trying to do. And just keep moving forward, man.

SPEAKER_21

Real talk.

SPEAKER_37

305 shit. Shout out to Yubi, man. They've been overdue, man. You already know.

SPEAKER_18

SPEAKER_21

SPEAKER_31

SPEAKER_25

unknown

SPEAKER_21

I love it. Y'all moving like a cliff, y'all got chemistry. Y'all, I can I can hear you. Musical is just the way you respond to questions.

SPEAKER_25

Yeah, we um we grew up together.

SPEAKER_21

Oh, really? Grew up. Real family. Awesome. So this came naturally. What was the first time y'all did music together?

SPEAKER_25

Oh man. Ten years ago?

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, so how did that come about? Like in the studio or are you like a flower?

SPEAKER_25

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_21

Uncle Flo, huh? That's crazy. Wow. Okay. Everyone's from Miami? Everybody. I love that. Okay, so what does it mean to y'all to be from Miami?

SPEAKER_25

Everything. The culture. Yes. Women. I mean, men, but the weather. The weather.

SPEAKER_12

The vibes. The vibes.

SPEAKER_25

The hood.

SPEAKER_13

Beaches and the beaches. Yes. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_32

Miami don't sleep. You can't find Miami anywhere. We've been around the world. When I say the world and back, shout out to Plo for that. Because we're going to be able to do that. You know what I'm saying? An icon. This man has been places that we don't we can't even pronounce. And let me tell you, it's nothing like coming back home to Miami. We're like, yes. The crib. The crib.

SPEAKER_21

Nothing like it.

SPEAKER_32

I'm never leaving. You gotta drag me out. I love home.

SPEAKER_21

Do y'all have any favorite Miami slangs? Miami words? What they do?

SPEAKER_25

What they do, I'm good. What they do, other classics. Yeah.

SPEAKER_21

And then talk to me about the music. Y'all got any projects? Anything you're working on coming up right now?

SPEAKER_25

For the ladies, show them how to do it, eh? Alright, show them how to do it for the fellas. We go like this.

SPEAKER_21

My dad knows. Okay. My dad won't help the meeting. I love it. Okay, for sure. And what's a piece of advice you give to somebody coming out to Miami for the first time? Uh don't go to the beach.

SPEAKER_25

If you know you got a gun fin and don't go, don't go.

SPEAKER_12

Take it easy.

SPEAKER_25

I'm just trying to help you. If you're not from Miami, stay on the beach.

SPEAKER_12

Take it easy, man. Take it easy, guys.

SPEAKER_32

If you don't know, you're gonna find out. What's up? Welcome to Dick County.

SPEAKER_25

But if you want good food, you gotta. They got good spots on the beach, but you gotta leave the beach if you want that real Miami food.

SPEAKER_12

Shout out to the Licking, man. Shout out to the Lick. Shout out to Studio One. That's the real Miami. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_26

We got stuff.

SPEAKER_32

Not that Miami beach though.

SPEAKER_12

Nah, we got my pops on the corner.

SPEAKER_32

Shout out to Kara City, that orange and that black.

SPEAKER_12

Oh, they got it. For real.

SPEAKER_25

Don't say that why I love Miami, because the women hold it down. We're gonna hold it down. Yo, y'all got any special message to the people before we get out of here? Man, God bless you. We love y'all. Continue to grind. You know in Miami the grind don't stop. And whatever you're trying to do, accomplish your goals, put God first and continue to go, man. And stay loyal to your team.

SPEAKER_31

And thanks for the support. We love y'all.

SPEAKER_25

We take y'all with us on the road everywhere we go. Shout out to my cubans. We are cool.

SPEAKER_12

Let's go.

SPEAKER_31

I gotta get y'all off the road.

SPEAKER_12

Shout out to the big rider, man. The freeze deep cleaner. I already know, yeah.

SPEAKER_25

The new generation is bright, guys. Oh, yeah, we're bringing back party music, man. Y'all know we're bringing back party music. Good time, good time. You feel me? Yes! Uh-oh, uh-oh.

SPEAKER_21

Y'all know what it is. How can we do this? How can we do this and get lit on 305 day with our 305 legends?

SPEAKER_18

Yeah? Oh, uh, uh, oh, Valva B don't know shape. God is good all the time, all the time, God is good. If you're a devil trying to stop the Valve, I wish you would. Thanks for having me, brother. Thank you, OG, for coming. I'm from Dave Candy.

SPEAKER_21

And on that same note, what does it mean to be from the 305 team, OG?

SPEAKER_18

It feels amazing. It's awesome. Awesome. Love it. Awesome. In real life, it's awesome. And it's three letters. It's F-U-N. F-U-N. Yeah. They forgot about those three letters. F-U-N. People forgot to have fun. How can people have fun in society nowadays? You laugh to keep from crying. That's real. And you keep praying so you can keep flying. That is real. That's real.

SPEAKER_33

That's real.

SPEAKER_18

God is good all the time, all the time. God is good. If you a devil trying to stop this barrier on, I wish you would. Your mama's a man if you ain't fucking with her. Forever we don't know, Shane. Hey yo, I got new music out there. Y'all looking for me? Y'all search D-E-S-L-O-C. P-I-C-C-A-I-O. I'm from Miami. I'm from overtown. I love my city, my hood, my state, my town. We need to unite, reignite, and ignite. Like, look, if we don't stick together, we won't do better. So I'm gonna give the whole Miami a letter. We need to rain like the weather, I'm gone. I'm gone too.

SPEAKER_21

Yo, welcome back, folks. So now we got Ozzy in the building promoting something you probably heard on the pod before, one of my favorite words. I love puteria. Hell yeah. Yes, yes. Yo, so where does his name come from? How do you come up with that?

SPEAKER_07

One day I was at a club and I was with my friends, and I'm looking around, and you know, I'm a little tipsy and I'm just looking at these girls, and I'm like, I turn around like, bro, I love puteria. And we just that's it. And like two days later, there was like a pool party, and I had myself a shirt done at Dolphin Mall. I wore it, people are like, yo, where'd you get that shirt? And I'm like, damn, I think I got something here.

SPEAKER_21

Everybody's doing the Leonardo DiCaprio meme.

SPEAKER_07

I love it too. Next thing you know, like people like asking me questions. I'm like, okay. And one day I saw I saw do some some fans, I took them into club space, blew up in there. I got a match. And now I got like 20 different brands out there, and I'm doing well. It's my third year. Nice, man.

SPEAKER_21

And shout out Angelina Castro as well, right?

SPEAKER_07

Angelina Castro, yeah, she uh she did a podcast of me, nothing wrong with all.

SPEAKER_21

And uh what's one of your favorite things about Miami or what's uh what does Miami mean to you better?

SPEAKER_07

Miami, dude, it's like I I travel a lot, and everywhere I go, like you know, whether it's nice, and but Miami is just like you come back and you realize there's no city like like Miami, you know. I travel through the states a lot, and when you come back to Miami, you're like, we're just different. Miami's just it's got it all. You got the culture, you got the swamps on one side, you got the beach on the other side, you got the city life. I mean, we we're like the best place to party. Me, I'm an after hours guy. I like to party a lot in the morning. Favorite after hour spots? Cross space, brother. That's right, that's why I came up with the idea.

SPEAKER_21

That's the one. That's the one I'm gonna do.

SPEAKER_07

Around 11 a.m. in closed space, I'm like, I love Putaria.

SPEAKER_21

Yes. Somebody visiting Miami for the first time. What's a piece of advice you give them?

SPEAKER_07

Oh wow. Um well I'll tell them I got where to stay is the first thing. Where to stay? Where do you stay? Where do you want to stay like you know, like maybe like Little Havana, Winwood area? Okay, stay away from the beach, definitely. You know, the beach is why why stay away from the beach? The beach isn't what it used to be, like you know, 20 years ago. Uh it depends on the time of the year. I mean, you definitely don't want to go now when the spring break and the craziness. I mean, I mean, if it's tourists, I'm saying, but to party, you know, I would say like coming to like like saying brickle, saying Winwood, you know, brickle's hot right now, but yeah, brickle's hot. Yeah, yeah. Uh Windwood's always great, also. Yeah, Winwood's legendary. What about uh any favorite Miami slangs? Miami slangs. One of one of my shirt. See Tekoho Temoho.

SPEAKER_21

That's the one right there. Yeah, that's a good one. That's a good one. I need one of those actually.

SPEAKER_07

That's the one I sold to my two.

SPEAKER_21

And if anybody wants to check out the brand, where can people get you the ILOPuteria.com and uh you can follow my Instagram at I Love Puteria.

SPEAKER_07

I love spelled L-O-V-E. I L O V E or the iHeart symbol uh or the emoji, I Love Puteria on Instagram. And the website is ILove Puteria, all spelled out.com. Nice, yeah.

SPEAKER_21

Wait, for sitting on me right now, no, thank you. Thank you so much, all right. I love puteria. Thank you for promoting puteria. Thank you. And of course, if we're representing the 305, we gotta represent my favorite county in the 305. Can we all say it on three? One, two, three.

SPEAKER_30

Puteria county I love it, yes.

SPEAKER_21

And so introduce yourself, ladies. Who do I have with you today?

SPEAKER_30

Your name?

SPEAKER_21

Sam Haley. Sam Vermonica. Love it. And you all are representing Lutania County? How does he run with that in Miami? What does it mean to you ladies to be from Miami or be in Miami? Are you all from Miami?

SPEAKER_30

Love it.

SPEAKER_21

Miami has the bad woman. So what does it mean to you ladies to be from Miami?

SPEAKER_30

I think it's like the culture.

SPEAKER_21

The vibes are strong, the vibes are strong. And just so y'all know how crazy Miami is. It's one of your first days here, right? It is my first day. First day on the job. On the job. She's working hard. Doing a pop.

SPEAKER_33

I love it. I love it.

SPEAKER_21

What's some advice you give to people going out clubing in Miami? We must have a fish. I'm not finding something.

SPEAKER_30

I don't think going out in Miami. I'm going out of the club.

SPEAKER_21

Favorite song right now, each of you.

SPEAKER_30

Blah bummy's.

SPEAKER_21

What did you did?

SPEAKER_30

I listen to Drake.

SPEAKER_18

I listen to Baba Bunny always. Give me a Black Bunny song or not.

SPEAKER_30

Um what did you say? Um let's see.

SPEAKER_21

Ladies, anything, uh any special message to the people who want to give up? Yes, let it um embrace the internet. Ladies, thank you so much for being so plain and great example of what Miami's about. Now, folks, we got Miami Key holder, corner, right? Key holder? There's no, but you have a key holder. Aren't you holding a key? Didn't they see? Kendall, key or a key holder, my dog. You're part of an exclusive club of key holders in the house. People dream of that. You have a key to Kendall. Here's them in the building. Miami legends. Kendall legends. Yo, real talk, man. Thanks for chopping it up on me finding, bro. All over sure.

SPEAKER_41

I know we've been talking about it. Yes, bro.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah. What does it mean being from Miami? What does it mean to be from Miami?

SPEAKER_41

Man, what it means, I think it means to be a go-getter, to be a hustler, and to just make shit happen. You know what I mean? At least to me, it's a whole lot of pride being from the city.

SPEAKER_21

Hell yeah. Go-getters, a lot of hustle. You need it out here to survive.

SPEAKER_41

Otherwise, you fall in the cracks and you're lost. Bro, I think I think Miami is a difficult city to make it in. But because it's a lot of fun. You know what I'm saying? There's a lot of like distractions. Yeah, yeah. But if you could get it here, bro, you could get it anywhere else, you know? 100%.

SPEAKER_21

You can make it, you can make it anywhere else. We're gonna talk. So, and then for anybody coming to Miami or even people that live in Miami that might not be educated with the slang. Do you have a favorite Miami slang?

SPEAKER_41

Damn, slang?

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, like a favorite Miami word you hear all the time, like a code word. You gotta explain to people all the time.

SPEAKER_41

I'm big on bro. I say bro a whole fucking lot, bro. Yeah, I'm big on bro.

SPEAKER_21

Well, how about food? What about Miami food?

SPEAKER_41

Food. Bro, I like that. I can't say I got a like a favorite food, but when I leave this city, I miss how like multicultural this city is. You gotta be a good one. You know, like bro, I've been I've been in like a bunch of places, bro. Germany, Germany has some options, but like you go to London, it's the same shit all over the place. You know, you go to different cities. In Miami, you could get Hispanic food, Italian food, Japanese food, Korean food, whatever the fuck you want.

SPEAKER_21

And even with Spanish food, you got Nicarawan food, you got Cuban food, you got Colombian food. Like where can you get fritanga? That's crazy. Like, that's crazy. And then right down the street, you know, you have some Cuban spots, and then right down the street, you got the Haitian spots. Right, right. Oh, that's crazy. You don't see that nowhere else, bro. And you can get fit in Miami, you can get fit anywhere else. You can be great out here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And uh talk to me about the uh the graffiti game. Talk to me about uh tagging and and where Miami's kind of going with that now. Do you have uh any opinions on that?

SPEAKER_41

I can't speak for the city, right? But I can speak for myself. And um man, I think we thanks to like our own culture, you know, and and dumb doing art basil here, bro. We've we've had the I say privilege, you know, to have so many amazing artists come out here and influence our scene. Um and I think that that on his own has helped us as artists, you know, develop greatly, bro.

SPEAKER_21

So it's added like an excitement back and then it's bringing um really connectivity, connectivity, not just the people in the hood, but from out of the hoods too.

SPEAKER_41

Yeah, yeah, man, because like again, if you know that multicultural thing that we see, right? I see a lot of other writers in other cities and and they're only influenced by their surroundings, especially in small towns. Now here with our basil, man, we started getting so even though our culture is heavy, our style is heavy, we got our own vibe here. But um, we can't neglect that uh, I mean, disregard that all these other artists coming from different places, bro, has definitely made us locals step up our games, you know?

SPEAKER_21

And and in a way, I think that's part of the Miami blueprint. All the different cultures, immigrants coming, like not just with writing, graffiti writing, but business with jobs, with culture, with movies, with women. Like it's it's everywhere. Like it's a melting pot, dog. So the cream of the crowd, make it to the top, right? Oh, any special advice or tips for anybody coming to Miami for the first time? Coming to Miami?

SPEAKER_41

Yeah, don't get caught up in the mix, bro. Don't get caught up in the mix.

SPEAKER_33

That's fire.

SPEAKER_41

That's fire. And though, where can they find you? I love it. Yo, thank you for chopping it up, bro.

SPEAKER_21

Thank you, bro. Good and now we're blessed with Hailey royalty, Danny Vishus and the brother. What's he? What's up, y'all? What's up, y'all? Thanks for coming out, celebrating the 305. What is I know you're from DC Steve, but what does being from the 305 mean to you, Benny?

SPEAKER_34

Damn. You're putting me on the spot right now. Um, honestly, everything. I grew up in Hayalea. It's like part of the way I speak, the culture. My mom's Cuban as fuck. Can I curse?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we already did.

SPEAKER_34

My mom's Cuban as fuck, so you know it just made sense for us to live in Haileah. So I I don't live in Hayaleah. I live in Broward now, but um, I rep Hayalea.

SPEAKER_21

She came up in the world.

SPEAKER_34

Yeah. I don't know. I don't know about came up, but whatever.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, Haileah's like downtown Cuba, I like to think, you know.

SPEAKER_34

But I I love it.

SPEAKER_03

Hayalea's the bougie Cuba.

SPEAKER_21

Yo, and then you're from DC, so what was like a culture shock to you when you first got to Miami?

SPEAKER_03

So listen, uh DC is it's different. Like you come to Haileyah or Miami, but I always felt like Miami's its own country, right? Miami's not a part of Florida. Like it's not a part of Florida.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, at least it's own state.

SPEAKER_03

So Miami is just its own state. Well, to me, it's its own country. And being in Miami, the culture changes. It's crazy, bro. The vibes cafecito. You go to La Esquina, talk to La Vesina, you see them sweeping the roads. You have a Latino look to you. Are you Latino? I'm Colombian. Colombian, okay. So and is there a lot of Colombians in DC?

SPEAKER_21

Is there is that a thing? There's a small population. Okay, so you're you're familiar with like Colombian and Latino culture, but I hear Miami's is a lot of Latinos.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm not it's different, bro. It's different, but I love the Cuban culture, I love Hailey, I love Miami, like it's a vibe. Do you have do you both have any favorite Miami slang?

SPEAKER_34

Damn, I like saying come pinga, de pinga. I was actually explaining it to a friend of mine the other day. She's from Texas and she's white. And she's like, oh my god, I Googled that bingo is actually a really bad word. I'm like, no, it means like shit. Like you can use it like bingo or like binga, bro.

SPEAKER_21

It's kind of like the not that it means for because it's uh the F word, not that it necessarily means that, but it's kind of the same way people use that in the English language. Like you could say F-word for everything, you know, like F word.

SPEAKER_34

Yeah, you could say it happy or angry or sad, and it's the same with bingo. That's kind of our word for that. Yeah, bingo's forever my favorite, my favorite slang word.

SPEAKER_03

Crazy clip.

SPEAKER_34

Yeah, my favorite clip.

SPEAKER_03

Crazy clip. What about you, Steve? You got any favorite ones? I feel like um where I'm from, DC, it's a little bit more aggressive. I'll hear they'd be like, bro. Or the or guy, the word guy. Guy, guys guy gets to me. Like, you say guy, and it's like, damn, we family now. Like the guy, the guy is quite and uh anything you want to promote, Vanny?

SPEAKER_21

I know you got your podcast going on.

SPEAKER_34

Just my Instagram, official Vanny Vicious. The podcast is Voice of Vicious Podcasts. And yeah, we're just doing a bunch of skits now. Steve and I just hit 44 million on a skit. Yeah.

SPEAKER_21

44 million went viral. Yeah. We'll drop a little uh visual for them right here. And uh advice to vacationers or people from DC coming to Miami for the first time.

SPEAKER_03

Advice to people from DC that come to Miami. Hang out with the right people. Fine. Hang out with the right people and be safe. That's a good one. It could get crazy. Be safe.

SPEAKER_34

Mine would be it's always like watch your attitude because people in Miami are like, no, I'm not the one. So just you're not from here, so just chill the fuck out.

SPEAKER_21

Big on respect, absolutely. Big on respect. Thank you both for chopping it up and sitting with us, okay? I really appreciate it. Thank you, thank you. A long form episode on the show if you guys have a time.

SPEAKER_34

We're right in Hyalia, so we'll trade um episodes because I need some podcast.

SPEAKER_21

Welcome back, folks. We have a familiar face now. Coming back to the set, coming back to the show. We got Luke Daleno in the building. What up, Miami?

SPEAKER_40

Hayalia representando We out here, baby. One of Hyalia's loudest and proudest. Yes, sir. What's up, man? It's good to be back.

SPEAKER_21

What does being from Miami mean to you?

SPEAKER_40

Bro, it means honestly, life, like mentality, grip, multiculture, uh arriba que no hay más na.

SPEAKER_21

Do you have any favorite Miami slang? Like words you hear only here.

SPEAKER_40

Oh man, Miami slang. Alright, kids, cover your ears. That's one of my favorites.

SPEAKER_21

Shout out to Mr. Pinga, Nick is Nick, what out?

SPEAKER_40

Nah, bro, Nick, nah, Nick has that. I can't even say that word without thinking that's Nick, you got that, bro. It is your word.

SPEAKER_21

It's almost like Bloody Mary. If you say it three times, he might pop up. He pops up.

SPEAKER_40

But yeah, bro, nah, that just there's so many, man. And now you're you're freestyling. How often are you in the beach? Bro, I try to do it every weekend. Obviously, the more opportunities come, the harder it is. But for example, right now I'm in a little hiatus because I'm prepping for something big. Um after after that opportunity is all over when I'm done with that project, we're back at it every weekend. I try I would love to do it daily, but my voice, you know, ain't built for that. So we we do it Wednesday, Thursdays, Fridays.

SPEAKER_20

Driving to the beach everything is crazy.

SPEAKER_40

Nah, man. Yes, yes, nah, but it's worth it, bro. I live for that, bro. If I got an Uber, if I gotta walk, I love it, bro. I love doing that, man. It's it's been it's changing my life, man. I it's networking at another level.

SPEAKER_21

What's a piece of advice you give to somebody going to the beach?

SPEAKER_40

Um bring sunscreen if you're as white as me. Um I get burnt. Bring sunscreen. And and get ready for a good time. Get ready for a good time. Where can people follow you? Follow me on Instagram, TikTok, and all streaming platforms wherever you hear music at Luke Teleno. L-U-K-E-T-A-L-E-N-O. Okay, that's Teleno, not Toleno, not Taleno for my gringos out there. What about me Kuwano and Luke Taleno? Luca Taleno. I guess.

SPEAKER_21

But he has Talento. Thank you, bro. Thanks for representing this.

SPEAKER_40

Shout out to A Rober, I freaking love y'all. And let's keep putting on for the city. Happy 305 day, yo. Let's go.

SPEAKER_21

And now, folks, we got Tony sitting down with us. Yes, sir, yes, sir.

SPEAKER_43

Yes, sir. You already know, man. Tony MC in the building, man. Yo. And uh I was born in Hollywood. I was born in Brower. Yeah, Florida for sure. I've been born and raised in South Florida. I lived in Miami for a minute. I went to FIU. So I graduated from FIU. I lived out here. So, you know, I have a lot of contacts still. I got family that live out here. So I consider myself a resident.

SPEAKER_21

I'm heavily connected to the Miami music industry too, though. You stayed with one of my favorite artists.

SPEAKER_43

Yeah, yeah, of course, man. Yeah, so uh I've been a music journalist for the past over a decade at this point. Uh I started in 2013. I did a lot of uh internships. Uh I wrote I wrote for Vibe Magazine, XXL, uh, The Source Magazine. Huge news.

SPEAKER_21

It's like a big three when it comes to hip hop magazines.

SPEAKER_43

Of course, man. And you know, I've written for other uh platforms too, uh, but right now I I'm in radio, so I work for iHeart Radio. Uh shout out to 1035 the Beat. I run a lot of their uh digital platforms, uh social media. Uh I do a lot of their web content too. So I'm always writing stories about hip-hop, Miami hip-hop specifically. Uh so I cover a lot of different events out here, Rolling Loud when it was here, uh, you know, a lot of different uh Miami events. Uh obviously uh live in three alive at 305, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_21

So Derry G, shout out the shout out to Derry G, man.

SPEAKER_43

The whole reason we're here, man, straight up.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah. And uh so covering Miami and the music scene for so long, I feel like right now we're kind of getting to a point where everybody's having like synergy and everybody's linking together and a lot of collaborations, a lot of working together. What do you how do you feel about the Miami music scene right now?

SPEAKER_43

Do you see a lot of that? I love it, man. Like, first of all, I've been a fan of the Miami music scene since I was a kid. So seeing you know all the artists and all the content creators and stuff like that mesh together is a great thing. You know what I mean? Like, I feel like the more collaboration, the better. Um, as far as you know, the other types of collaborations, whether like they're doing like TV, obviously, like with Love of Hip Hop, uh, you know, they're doing different businesses, you know. Shout out to like Flowrider buying up all the businesses, uh, you know, e-class, Khaled, uh, you know, everybody that's uh Trick Daddy, everybody that's opening businesses like restaurants and all that stuff. Like, I feel like that's obviously a great crossover too. Uh so to see all that, man, it's just it's just great to see, it's like full circle, man. Like, just to see them come up as musicians and then evolve into entrepreneurs is amazing to see. Especially us coming from the industry.

SPEAKER_21

It's cool to see what could be done coming from our city, man. That's awesome. Of course, of course, man. You have any piece of advice or tips to somebody coming to Miami for the first time? For the first time, man.

SPEAKER_43

First of all, bring a lot of cash. Explain the value. And make sure that you read all the road signs because you never know if you're gonna park it somewhere and then your ass get towed.

SPEAKER_21

Speaking of reading, maybe a Spanish class here, maybe some duolingo might take you a lot further, you know.

SPEAKER_43

Oh well, of course, man. Like, you definitely gotta be uh bilingual for sure, man. Like, you know, I'm Cuban and Puerto Rican, and you know, my Spanish isn't all that, but I still know enough to get me by, at least enough to get me uh, you know, through the streets and not get uh screwed over as far as like is what I say Spanish. Facto man. But um, but yeah, man, nah, it's it's definitely great to see um you know this event especially pop off in in in the way that it has, man. I I remember going to the first one and it was it was so dope just to see everybody come together. Last year's was dope too, man. Like the one I was in Winwood. So now to see it like come to an amazing venue like this, especially when it's like a brand new spot, you know what I mean? It's really dope. Gets bigger, it gets better.

SPEAKER_21

Like Hailey, it's a city of progress. Miami, it's kind of all about progress too, man. It's built in our blueprint. You gotta come up in this place and you gotta come up in this world. One last message before you get out of here. One last message you like to say to the people watching?

SPEAKER_43

Man, just stay tuned, man. You know, follow me. You can follow me at underscore TonyMC. Follow the podcast, Rat Basil305. You know, that's my podcast where I cover a lot of the different um art uh in the art scene, like different uh visual artists, graffiti artists. Uh, shout out to this one. I saw you guys had him on there too. Uh, you know, I've interviewed him. I interviewed Derek for that. So stay tuned. We got more episodes coming. And yeah, man, make sure to check me out.

SPEAKER_21

Thank you for being part of this culture of the city, man. Of course, man. This is what makes the city, bro.

SPEAKER_43

Shout out to you, man. Keep doing your thing. Appreciate that, bro. Yes, sir. Thank you, man.

SPEAKER_21

You know you're really from Miami when your name starts with an M. Right?

SPEAKER_35

Miami, baby. Yes. Tell the people who you are? Yes. It's your girl DJ Mills, straight from Hayaleah, right here with the official air in the building. Yes, sir. We are here. And what does it mean to be from Miami? What does it mean to be from Miami? It means um Cuban AF. Cuban AF. It means uh culture, it means Sansa, it means Latin America, Cuban, sandwich. What does it mean to be from Miami? Um you know what? It's an honor to be from Miami. Like, I it's a beautiful city, I would be nowhere else. Like, born and raised here. And I'm not going nowhere. I don't know if you're not going to be able to do the lotto. We hit a lot of weekends.

SPEAKER_21

I love it. And uh growing up in Miami, what's like a song you would always hear in a party?

SPEAKER_35

Growing up in Miami is a song that I would always hear. Do you want me to name a pitbull song? Because Pitbull is right down like missing 305 is 305 data.

SPEAKER_21

You already said it, so yeah.

SPEAKER_35

One of my favorite pitbull songs has to be Hi Chico. See if you can look at the Roma.

SPEAKER_33

Doma. That's Doma.

SPEAKER_35

Doma and High Chico. Both of them. Both of them. Doma Ai Chico Ikulo.

SPEAKER_21

The holy trinity of pitbulls. Yeah, literally, literally. And what's a a a piece of advice you'd give to somebody going out clubbing in Miami?

SPEAKER_35

A piece of advice going out clubbing. Um go have fun. Have fun and and and go experience like the real Miami. Go to Kaioto. Go to like don't go like all the whole like new spots and go to the authentic. If you really want to experience Miami, go to like, you know, Winwood is now a thing, but I think I would go to Kaioto and just go go to the OG spots, like where they sing salsa or where they dance salsa. I think uh Miami is very tropical, you know? And there's a lot a lot of clubs now that have taken that away from Miami, and that's okay, you know. I'm open to like new new genres and new vibes. Um I would uh recommend, yeah, I would just recommend the OG spots. I like, you know, where I DJ, I DJ a lot uh uh Blue Martini Brickle. Don't forget about Blue Martini Brickle, it still exists. Legendary pieces. It's a legendary piece, but it still exists. Um, you know, the man and Hyaliah, come on. That's where you gotta go. You gotta support your local bars. So that's what I mean by that. You know, go support your local bars and go support support like the OGs. Any favorite Miami slang? Favorite Miami slang. Dale.

SPEAKER_21

Dale, Dale, dale, come on.

SPEAKER_35

Toma, dale, eh, like that's like a hurry, my heavy, come on, guys. Literally, literally is like uh one of my favorite ones too.

SPEAKER_21

Literally is a good one. Literally without a link. That's what we are today. We're literally here on level 305. Any special advice or any special message for the people message is um this girl right here grew up in Hyalea, was raised in Hyalea.

SPEAKER_35

Always had a dream. Something in music and studied, went to Miami Day College, went to my study went into the corporate world. And you know what? I left the corporate world to brush in my dreams. So uh what I don't like a message that I can give to anyone that is trying to chase their dreams with discipline, compassion, and hard work. Like, and literally, literally you can make your dreams come true. No cliche.

SPEAKER_21

Where can they follow you? Where can they find you?

SPEAKER_35

You can follow me at Miladies, which Miladies is my real name. I'm gonna I'm gonna give you my full government name. Are you ready? Milares Lucia Marquez. Milai Lucia Marquez is Cuban and I'm a quarter Colombian. Or you can follow me at Miladys DJ Mills on Instagram.

SPEAKER_21

One of my personal favorite DJs you can catch her at the band and Blue Martini Burgo in all your favorite spots. So I'll see you there.

SPEAKER_35

Let's go, baby. 305. Hey, okay.

SPEAKER_15

Man, huh? Do you need the phone or not? I don't think so. Fuck a phone. Who needs a phone? I mean, I don't know. Who needs anything? Who needs anything? On the scale of one to two. You don't need you think you need. Alright, my bad. Oh, you're good.

SPEAKER_21

You're good, you're good. Yo, my David sitting with us representing Coconut Grove comedy, the festival coming up, but also a big member of this Miami comedy scene that's bubbling, is turning up, and I've been lucky enough to interview some of the comics in it. Yo, thanks for sitting, man. Thanks for talking about it.

SPEAKER_15

I'm happy to be here. Uh firstly, thank you for having me. Secondly, hey guys, Mike Dabba here. I just want to say I love what you're doing. I think you're great, and keep it up. Yo, on a scale of one to two, it's only going like higher and higher, man. I love it.

SPEAKER_21

Keep it up. That's what my girl tells me on the day. Hey, I never do though. But listen, hey, yo, talk to me a little bit about the coconut grove uh festival coming up, the comedy show.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, the coconut grove comedy festival, April 24th and 25th. So, I mean, comedy's been part of the grove for so long. It left for a little while. Um, Taurus, the longest running show. Taurus, yeah. It's uh next week it'll be 12 years of comedy nights. Wow, 12 years? Yeah, uh, started by Freddie Sebans. It was it's been a crazy room. It's it's kind of like a roller coaster. I know it's got a little bit of lure where it's uh you know a harder room, but I find that a room like that, and if you're a good comic, you can get them. Cisco, all these guys, uh John Gregory, a lot of comics just they go in there on a hard night and they have a really easy time with an audience that wants to laugh. Similar like growing up in Miami. If you can make it out here, you can make it anywhere. Yeah, I mean, uh clearly we we have some great successes. I mean, I know it's a long time ago, but Brian Regan, uh I think he actually left Miami the year I was born. So, more recently, Marcelo Hernandez. Huge! Yeah, his first performance in uh South Art in Miami was at Taurus and Coconut Grove, which I'm proud to say, um, you know, granted he performed elsewhere first, but you know, happy to have that on on our uh walk.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, on the resume, man. That's what's up. What's uh what's a piece of advice you give to somebody coming out to uh Miami in general that's never been here before? That's never been here before? Yeah.

SPEAKER_15

Get ready to have a good time. Try new experiences. I mean it's phenomenal here. The Cuban food here is out of this world. I know Tampa says that they have the best, but who's ever even been to Tampa?

SPEAKER_21

Tampa says they have the best Cuban food. I know they made the Cuban sandwich, but the best Cuban food?

SPEAKER_15

I don't know, dude.

SPEAKER_21

You got good comedy, but best Cuban food's crazy.

SPEAKER_15

Tampa, I love you, but you got it wrong. Okay. Zoom in on his face. We're gonna do it in post. Editor. It's me, I'm the editor. Hey, uh, by the way, would you like a lollipop? It's not weird. I'm part of your show. This is uh these that one's strawberry, this one's strawberry.

SPEAKER_21

I didn't think it was weird until you said that, but hey don't threaten me with a good time now.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, man, it's very and a very American thing. We have uh a blow pop right here, so it's a lollipop and then chewing gum inside.

SPEAKER_21

You can never just have one thing, you gotta have a combination and you gotta maximize everything. We want a treat after our treat. Life's all about treats. I knew this is a treat here with my boy Mike Dabba. Uh Mike, do you have a favorite Miami movie or a movie that has a scene that takes place in Miami? Bad Boys 2. Legendary.

SPEAKER_15

Bad Boys 2. When Martin Lawrence is looking at the rats as they're doing it in the attic, is that is that okay to say? Yeah. And when he says they fuck just like we do, just like us. Yeah. And they do fuck just like we do. Or maybe do we fuck like the rats? What came first? I don't know. Miami is either rats or rabbits, really. I will say chickens. Yeah, we got off topic a little bit. I wanted to talk about the festival more. Yeah, good. I I just I've got this thing and it just keeps going side to side. Alright, I don't actually know where to look, but so your throttle camera is that one? The one directly fishing on the fire left?

SPEAKER_21

Oh, I got it, got it. You did it right when he did the stir.

SPEAKER_15

I nailed it. Okay, good. You nailed it. Alright. So the the comedy festival actually, it was born from I wanted to do one. I was gonna do a small, not really a comedy festival, just like a celebration of local comics. And then Raul Hernandez and I were talking, Raul from uh Dade County Comedy. Yeah, and uh Kelly from Gold Medal Labs, Kelly who did the comedy Olympics. Big shoulders. It was a fantastic show, that show by the way. So uh we just came together, everybody's using their strengths. Honestly, it's it's like a wake-up call that we hadn't done this before. I'm glad we're doing it now. But I mean, it's just all the stars are are lining up and everything's falling into place. People want to help, people want to see this show succeed. I'm I'm I'm there for it.

SPEAKER_21

There's no community without unity, so I think um the same thing's happening now with the music scene where a lot of acts are coming together. I think that's cool that it's working together in the comedy scene too, because that's what makes this clip.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, I mean, look, pound for pound, um, um bad joke. Yeah, I'm not enough. Pound for pound. No, I I think Miami has some phenomenal comedians. I mean, guys that I would put up. There's guys I I see and and ladies that could be on the tonight show or it will be. It will be both. Marcelo just opened up that bar. Marcelo is is on SNL, man. I mean we've got Netflix. Yeah. John Gregory, uh, he's one of those comics I think should be unlike a poster or a you know HBO special. Cisco's got an HBO special. I think he's got another one coming. I'm don't quote me on that, but successful.

SPEAKER_21

And now we're manifesting it.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, yeah. We're putting it into the universe, and then Cisco's gonna have sex with the universe.

SPEAKER_21

Cisco, if you're listening and we know you are, wear a common. Or maybe don't wear a common.

SPEAKER_15

I I I lollipop does make it feel weird when you say another man's name. Cisco.

SPEAKER_21

Diddy.

SPEAKER_15

Okay.

SPEAKER_21

Yo, uh, any special uh message to the people before you get out of here? Do whatever you want to do.

SPEAKER_15

Um not everything, Diddy. We're looking at you. I mean, if you've got a dream, pursue it, try it. Try it. If you want to do stand-up comedy, it's as easy as getting on stage. I I do recommend if anybody wants to try it, write down some jokes and keep them in your pocket. So if you do freeze on your first time, which it's not out of the ordinary, you can pull those out of your pocket and just do them. So don't freestyle on your first set? Don't go into the jokes? No, no, you gotta have the jokes written down, is my advice. But put them in your pocket. Oh, in case you forget. Yeah. Oh, important. So go with the idea to perform what's on the paper. Yeah, go with the confidence, but be prepared to finish the job no matter what. That's some real shit.

SPEAKER_16

Alright, bro.

SPEAKER_15

Yo, thanks, man. Thank you for having me. On a scale of one to two, this has been fantastic.

SPEAKER_16

Tell Kelly to come back too.

SPEAKER_15

Yeah, I will. I'm gonna send her over. I have a tattoo of a nipple on my nipple. It looks real. Alright, I'm gonna. Do you have a picture of it? Can we put it in the edit? No, no, no. Oh well. You gotta you wish that's on the Patreon. You gotta five dollars. You gotta buy the uh all access past the festival.

SPEAKER_21

And that's why you gotta join the Patreon and join the festival. I'll see you then. There we go. This is awesome. And of course, keeping on this whole 305 energy, this 305 spirit. I gotta ask my two dogs here. How do y'all feel when you come into the 305? We got Vega and Fain in the building.

SPEAKER_26

SPEAKER_22

SPEAKER_22

Yeah, man. I mean, ever since the Miami base ever, man, like, like, because I'm a you know, a hard rapper for JT Money, yo. So it's funny that he was here around here, so I had to represent with this jacket. Facts. But yeah, man, it's the bitch eiser, yo.

SPEAKER_26

You know, a lot of culture out here, a lot of legacy out here for me. Yeah, man. Shout out to Derek G. Shout out to Only in Dave. Shout out to JT Money. I ain't gonna lie, it's a lot of bulletproof, yeah, Mr. Mauricio. It's a lot of legends out here.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, I can't stop saying today. Shout out Derek G and up because what a crazy event. So many crazy people out here. What's an advice you'd give to somebody coming out to Miami for the first time? What's the what the what? What's an advice? What's a piece of advice you give to somebody coming out to Miami?

SPEAKER_26

Keep your head on the swivel. This ain't South Beach. If you're in the real side of Miami, be careful. It goes down in a second. You can make a laugh and now shit done went wrong. You feel me?

SPEAKER_22

Don't walk around with a map.

SPEAKER_26

Yeah, like don't think because you in the south, just because this, you know, Miami, Miami that it don't just be careful. V B have fun and re be and be respectful in the process. Cause out of town is be coming out here doing a little too much sometimes.

SPEAKER_22

Yeah, man. And and also you gotta pay homage, yo, or else, you know, we gotta be some day county steppers, yo. Yeah.

SPEAKER_26

Shout out to Day County Steppers out now. Shameless plugs, certified.

SPEAKER_21

Ain't no shame in the fit in the game, man. Y'all have any favorite Miami slang? Favorite Miami words? Listen to it, you feel me?

SPEAKER_26

Like, if if when you got be like that, like if you back that up. Yeah, back that up. You feel me? What they do? Jones. Oh, that's a good one. Jones, that's a good one. Yeah, that's a good one. Shout out to Bob Greasy, you know. We're looking at a few shows today. We're trying to get it right. Oh, that's real, for real, man.

SPEAKER_21

Wow, but my favorite.

SPEAKER_22

Show for action, by the way.

SPEAKER_21

Um, so being out here in Miami, y'all have some favorite Miami food?

SPEAKER_22

Uh shit, yo. I'm gonna be there, man. I'm gonna be there. Straight up, yo. Comariquitas.

SPEAKER_26

Word, because it's a it's simple, quick to go. Mine's with no tomatoes, though. You feel me? That's it. Yeah. Simple. I don't even want nothing else.

SPEAKER_21

And so I know y'all got the record together. Y'all got any uh y'all got any more music to promote? Or let them know about the record too y'all got going on.

SPEAKER_26

So shout out to uh uh DJ Meat, shout out to Mr. Milan that produced the record, Stick. It's called Stick Raptors. It's number one on Amazon. It's been running up, it's on the radio, it's on XM. Real Miami shit, too, bro. Paying homage, talking to you.

SPEAKER_22

Yeah, man. Yo, we we paying homage, yo, to Miami. Like I said, man, like Two Life Crew is like a big inspiration, not only on the music, but on the hustle side, man. Everybody gonna understand, man. Luke was the first independent downside father before Master P, y'all.

SPEAKER_26

Twerking don't exist without Two Life Crew and Uncle Luke. That Pareto advisory sticker that you still see, even in the era of digital fucking streaming, is because of Uncle Luke. So pay some motherfucking homage to the 305 and niggas like Uncle Luke, and that's what the fuck we did with Stick. And we got so much music like Day County Steppers, Moonwalk. We got Talkin' Mamas coming out Mother's Day, Lion in the Whoop 2, Certify Forever, The Soul of a Hustler, the Soul of a Lion. That's what the fuck we do. Work, nonstop work. We've been dropping music every month for over what eight months now? Eight months. We drop a single almost every month, if not two a month, and we've been hitting them over the head with content. We we ain't been playing no games. We're going on tour. People know where to follow you. At Fame Music, F-A-Y-N music.

SPEAKER_22

SPEAKER_21

Certi05. And now you're certified too for listening. Follow them.

SPEAKER_33

Let's see.

SPEAKER_21

Keep it on with the legacy. I've said it countless times today. Such a great job putting together all these great lineups of Miami legends and faces and personalities. It's only right we got one here sitting down with me back on the aircast here. We got JT Lonnie in the mouthing. Thank you, OG.

SPEAKER_42

Thank you for having me, man.

SPEAKER_21

Thanks for coming to me.

SPEAKER_42

Happy 305 day, brother. Happy 305 Day.

SPEAKER_21

Live on 305. Yes. OG, I gotta ask you, what does it mean to be from the 305?

SPEAKER_42

Um, well, it means I gotta go hard all the time. I gotta represent to the fullest, no half stepping. No half step. Come cleaner, don't come at all. Real players run a yard. Those problems ain't no problems. Should I keep going? Hit them high, hit them low. You know? Oh, we can go all day. All day and all day.

SPEAKER_21

Yo, you got any favorite slang? Favorite favorite Miami slang out here? Miami quoted words that you only hear out here?

SPEAKER_42

Uh only, yeah, I mean, well, they done took our jit. But you know, the rest of them still ain't touching something. They ain't touching nothing. But uh, I don't know.

SPEAKER_21

Jits the bit of thing, huh? I jits dominated today. Everybody said jit.

SPEAKER_42

Yeah, everybody around the world, right. Yeah. But you know, we're talking about bottom boy slang, you know. What the lick read, what they do. What the lick read. That's a good one. You know, um, I don't know, man, but we make it up as we go.

SPEAKER_21

It ain't really uh That's what's so dope about Miami. You see a new slang all the time. Yo, come on, crazy. How about food? You got any favorite Miami foods? Any local spots maybe you want to shout out? Are they holding you down over the years?

SPEAKER_42

Nah, unless you just talk about the Jamaican restaurant about my mama. Because see, I'm a foodie. I go wherever the new spot I'm like, let me go try that too. I don't know why. I'm I'm a big boy at heart, but I go down. So, but me, I like all the different cultures. But what I do understand is I like real food. I hate fast food. Give me some meats and rice and vegetables, give me that real stuff, man.

SPEAKER_21

Keep you full longer.

SPEAKER_42

Yeah, man.

SPEAKER_21

Quality food. I'm trying to be here. And as an OG, what do you what's an advice you like to say to the younger generation of people coming up? Not just in Miami, but in general.

SPEAKER_42

Um right. First they gotta take care of themselves. Like, see, we was coming up. I'm now I'm I'm I'm on food now. I'm talking about all the process and all the stuff. So you gotta know what you're putting in your body. And that's from the the game, the mouth or your eyes or your ears. But I don't know, my thing is, you know, put God first, man, just try to do good. Like me, my whole mission is to try to do good. It's so easy for us to do bad. Real easy. Real easy. So my intent is to do good first. And if they pull me out of that, then they pulled me out of that. But, you know, and I and I did everything in my power not to go there first.

SPEAKER_33

Yeah.

SPEAKER_42

But I don't know, man. Be a man of your words, stand up, guys, you know. Uh yeah, man. Live by the code, live by Java, you know. That's all I can say right now, you know, because if we're talking specifics, then I can go specifically.

SPEAKER_21

Oh, that's good. Oh, gee, that was perfect.

SPEAKER_42

Yeah, but for the game, be a man of your words, stand up, you know. Take care of yourself. You know, love who love you. Take care of your people, man, you know.

SPEAKER_21

Hey, you've been going crazy with the music. You wanna you wanna give the audience an idea about all the new stuff coming up, any new projects?

SPEAKER_42

Well, I just dropped a single today on 305 Day with myself and another pine, uh Prince Raheem from the old school with Clayton. So I did this song called Do You. And um, he did the remix for me, Snap. But I got an album, The Day Party. So what I did was I do the day party Deluxe. That's where I got the features at. I got Prince Raheem, Mike Smith, Track Daddy, Tay Shin. You know, I reached out to a lot of our brothers, you know. Everybody ain't come in in time, but real collaborative effort, that's dope. Yeah, but they came out and they did it though. And I'm proud of it. But, you know, I was making the music back to Miami, not their ammy. I want it fun, I want the ladies to enjoy it, I want the players to still be able to vibe and stay at a player lane.

SPEAKER_21

That's what the world needs right now. Yeah, I think that's what the world needs right now.

SPEAKER_42

Yeah, that's what I was missing though.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah. And oh gee uh, of course, y'all know where to follow GT Money. Any other advice uh message before you get out of here? Something you want to tell the people?

SPEAKER_42

Yeah, man. Just remember every year, 305J, uh play JT Money on JT Money Day, which is the 4th of July. Every year, JT Money Day, and just rock out, support one another. You know, if you're an artist, get off your butt, network, you know. It ain't about it's deeper than the internet. You know what I'm saying? You gotta get out here with us. You gotta touch the ground. We gotta see you, we gotta touch you, we gotta feel you. Hey man, and the world is yours, man. Just be awesome, be awesome. How about that? Be awesome, be awesome. Yeah, that's all.

SPEAKER_21

And you continue to be awesome and stay watching. We got more coming. And now, we got another legend in the building. Big face, big name, Jesse Coleman. Thank you for sitting down with us. Thank you for showing love and Video Mix. Shout out Video Mix. If you heard of Video Mix, this is the mind, the brain, the power behind a lot of that. Yo, so let's start first and foremost. What does it mean to be from 305 and be out here this long?

SPEAKER_23

Wow, man, this is uh, I have to say, I'm I'm not, I wasn't born and raised in Miami, right? So I was I was a military kid, so my parents, you know, we lived in different parts around the world, around the country, sort of thing. So I I moved to Miami. I came here for a job interview, and I fell in love with the city, man. Back this is back in 1995. I came down. The job I came for, I used to work at The Box. You remember The Box? The Box, I've heard of it. That's another that's another 305 legendary uh uh television network. The Box is a network where you could um by punching in a 900 number on your phone and you can play a video on the local television, but it is all around the country. So that's what brought me to Miami. And I fell in love because I used to live in the Philippines growing up. And when I came to Miami for an interview, I was like, it felt very familiar, you know, the the the the the just the the weather, everything. I just loved it. Oh yeah, exactly. I loved it. So instead of trying to maybe lob before another five, ten thousand dollars for your salary, I just wanted this job. You know what I'm saying? So I took the I took the job and I've I've lived in I've lived in Miami for uh 30 uh plus years at this point, and I love it. I love it. You know, and the things that the things that made me fall in love with Miami are still they're still still very there. I love the diversity, I love the the different dynamics that we have, the the different ways that we've all kind of kind of come together and music kind of unites everyone. So I love it, man. I love being in Miami.

SPEAKER_21

Beautiful place to live and be at. Oh, do you have any uh when you first got here, what was like a food that took you back? Do you have any like culture shock moments from when you first got here?

SPEAKER_23

Well, I I would say, you know, probably eating uh like curry goat for the first time. Because like I hadn't had a probably Beyond Jerk chicken. That was probably the most uh you know Caribbean food I had. So so have having having having uh curry goat was was really different. And and and actually my my first day, I worked with a lot of Cuban folks at my job at the bots. So the first day, you know, I I got the I got the coffecito, I got the shot. That was that was the first the first day here. So so yeah, man, Miami really welcomed and embraced me, and I and I really loved it, love it in return. That's beautiful. Uh do you have any advice or tips for somebody maybe moving to Miami like you did? Well, you know, I would I would tell people to to really be open and and and explore the the different things that Miami has to offer because it's so it's it's so rich. And also learn the history, because I think if you learn the history of Miami, you have a lot more respect for the communities and and the and the kind of I don't I won't say I won't call it a utopia, but for for the for the the city that we built, the fabric that we built here as a as a collection of so many different immigrant populations, to me, this is the future of America. Even though some folks are maybe fighting it, this is the future of America, and it could be a really beautiful place if everyone, once everyone kind of gets past these prejudices that that folks have, we get beyond all that shit, we get to really realize there's so many great different people and communities and histories that are all blended together, man. So I love it.

SPEAKER_21

Billy Corbin has a line like that that he often says, I think 10 years ago when he did Rogan he said it and he just said it recently, where Miami's like a portal into the future of America. It is what we're doing out here, politically, culture-wise, the citizens, on the streets, business-wise, is what it's gonna be the future of the United States. Exactly.

SPEAKER_23

It's like here in South Florida, we have like a unified individualism, meaning we're together, but we really can still respect everyone's what you bring to the table. You don't have to assimilate in Miami. You know, so you can still be who you are, but still everyone's still.

SPEAKER_21

Somebody mentioned it earlier today, where I guess it's kind of like a respect thing, like other cities has gang culture, but out here in Miami, it didn't really get riddled by that because there was always kind of like a respect where gangs kind of stayed in their world. Yeah, and then the the city was still able to flourish, the culture's still able to flourish. So that is important. The individualism where maybe people were part of gangs, but they were still their individual person.

SPEAKER_23

Yep. So the nationality, I think nationality and ethnicities play a much bigger role here as well, you know, saying in a in a really big way. And it's about who you are. And yo, speaking of who you are, where can the people find you? Any projects you you got coming up you want to shout out? Well, my name is Jesse Coleman. I'm the founder of Video Mixed TV. You can find you can follow Video Mix TV on all socials, straight like that, Video Mix TV. I mean, right now we're we're looking to try to re-reshape people's thoughts about what television can be, you know, because I still think television is a very rich medium, but it's it's been stagnant for many, many years. So I'm trying to create more of a convergence of television, social media, and using a lot of the things that technology brings to the table to still bring bring some because television is a way for a lot of folks to kind of have a combined experience at the same time. So I think that's what we're trying to do.

SPEAKER_21

Join watching something's one of my favorite things when like a show's popular or like a Super Bowl or like a big event's going on. One of my favorite things, like tweet watching, everybody's tweeting about the same thing. Exactly. Wow, that's so important.

SPEAKER_23

Exactly.

SPEAKER_21

The last show that to have people do it was like Game of Thrones, like almost like six, seven years ago.

SPEAKER_23

Exactly.

SPEAKER_21

People don't do that anymore, and that makes the show popular. Like Euphoria kind of had a little bit, but not as much. Wow.

SPEAKER_23

And I'm really trying to get down with QR codes, because QR codes is with television is a really great way to directly interact. That's also a way to get to get to the shopping carts and things like that. So really, really trying to reimagine the things. So we're looking to connect with lots of folks here in South Florida in in different ways and and and really do some collaboration.

SPEAKER_21

Yo, thank you for what you've done and thank you for what you continue doing, man. I appreciate it.

SPEAKER_23

Thanks for having me. I really appreciate it. Your dad, bro. He's he's he's he's a pioneer uh himself, man. So I always appreciate uh being able to work with you. We gotta do this proper. We're gonna do a long form episode of this. Let's do it.

SPEAKER_21

Really go in deep. Let's do it, brother. I appreciate you. All right. Thank you so much, man. We're not gonna be sus and get a lollipop. Not on camera, at least. Yeah, on a game. Off camera.

SPEAKER_20

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_21

That is crazy. That is some crazy shit. Ayo pause. Ayo pause for real. Well, live on through the five. Now we got DJ Jr. stepping. Hot off a set, right? Did you just get off or what was your? Yeah, I just got off. Yeah, okay. How's the crowd out there?

SPEAKER_20

The crowd is good. You know, everybody comes out and turned up, everybody's having a great time. Typical Miami vibes, typical Miami vibes. Everybody got their kids, their family. On a Thursday, we turned up out here. On a Thursday. Thursdays is fun though. Yo, what does it mean to be from Miami? Bro, listen, to be honest with you, I'm not from Miami. Oh, really? Where are you from? I'm from Jersey. And when I first came to Miami, I started high school over here, I never left again. So to me, I don't know if it's maybe a better answer. Like I came and I never left. So I love Miami.

SPEAKER_21

That's obviously awesome. That's literally a perfect example of how great Miami is.

SPEAKER_20

Yeah, Miami got everything. Different restaurants, the culture, and the beaches, the women, the music.

SPEAKER_21

The beaches and the beaches.

SPEAKER_20

Yeah, you know.

SPEAKER_21

So yo, what's uh what when you first came to Miami? What was like a culture shock moment? What's something like, damn, this is different out here?

SPEAKER_20

Bro, honestly, when I first came, it's just the for me is the weather.

SPEAKER_21

The weather. You know? Where'd you come from?

SPEAKER_20

I came from Jersey.

SPEAKER_21

Jersey, right. So it's okay.

SPEAKER_20

So it's either cold or you know, or hot, like over there, hot and sticky. Like nasty sticky. Miami's beautiful, so I came over here and I'm like, I'm not going back. Never. So, you know, and then you have everything over here from white, black, all type of Latins, all different cultures, all different genres of music. Miami, I mean, who comes to Miami and don't love it. Truly a melting pot. You know? Do you have any as a DJ? What are some advice or tips you'd give to somebody going out clubbing in Miami? Uh advice I give to DJs going out clubbing in Miami just. Well, not necessarily the DJs more like club goers. People just going clubbing.

SPEAKER_21

Just going clubbing? Like in what sense? Like, like as the people you're DJing for, what's something you tell them to help them enjoy the night out more?

SPEAKER_20

Well, to help you enjoy the night out, just there's a lot of different cultures and different music and different parties in Miami. Like, literally, you could go to a Spanish party, a hip hop party, a reggae party. Bro, you could go to there's all types of parties in Miami. So there's whatever you want to do, you could go. There's there's there's everything in Miami, bro. From house music, there's everything. You gotta explore, yeah.

SPEAKER_21

You gotta explore.

SPEAKER_20

A lot of hidden stuff too. A lot of hidden, like a lot of hidden gems in Miami that any spots you could put us on? Maybe, maybe a spot you do, you don't mind putting on up and box? I mean, bro, um, I have my spots. Like I DJ in Winwood, I got a couple of spots, Electric Lady, Child, yeah, I do South Beach, hip hop, Spanish. I mean, Winwood right now is very heavy with the Spanish.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah.

SPEAKER_20

So if you like Spanish music, reggaeton, bow, bachata merengue, Winwood is one. Um, I feel like the beach is very dedicated to either house music or hip hop. Nice, yeah, so that is true.

SPEAKER_21

Wow, to look at it geographically split up with the music tip like that. That's actually interesting as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And uh, do you have any favorite Miami foods out here? Because if you eat them all the time, you can't get out of here.

SPEAKER_20

I go to one place, it's called Manguo and Hayaleah.

SPEAKER_21

Manguo?

SPEAKER_20

And Hayalea. Okay. It's like uh we're in Haileyah. I don't remember the address, but it's in Haileah, like Haylia Gardens area. Like we'll drop a pick for them right here. Yeah, yeah, like I'll figure it out, but it's called Mangu Cafe. It's like your grandma's cooking for you, bro. Nice. And you know how well that's cooking, that's how I feel. I feel like when I go there, it's like my family, like they're cooking for me. And that is a key to having a good restaurant.

SPEAKER_21

That is awesome. Definitely.

SPEAKER_20

And there's a bunch of Cuban, good Cuban restaurants. I go to one high leal called Dia y Noche Cafe.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, that's fire. That's really good. Yeah, my goal too. That's awesome. Great day place, too. You take a troydy out there? 24 hours. 24 hours, yes, yes, yes. That's what you see, 24 hours. Facts. Any any projects coming up that you like people to check out? Anything you want to promote?

SPEAKER_20

Um, I got a project at DJ for a reggae song artist called Daleks, Puerto Rican. Oh, Daleks, this is huge. I came out on one of his music videos many years ago. So we just dropped an album called Cuarto Rojo, it's out now, all platforms. Um, check it out. It's fire. Reggaeton and like Trap RB.

SPEAKER_21

Nice. Yeah.

SPEAKER_20

I produced four records on that album. One message to the people before you get out of here. One message to the people, man. Live your life, be nice to others. You know, peace, love, and happiness. And if you could be a helping hand, help somebody. Because me, then nobody helped me. I learned, and I appreciate everybody that helps me. So thank you for helping me and coming through and chopping it up.

SPEAKER_21

Thanks for coming out and showing love to the city.

SPEAKER_20

Shout out to Live on 305 and bless everybody.

SPEAKER_21

Bless you too. And you know we're in the 305, so it's only right because three's company got Billy Blue and DJ Smoky on here. Representing the city showing love. What's good, homie? Yo, thank you for coming out to show love to the city. Yeah, most importantly, representing the city the way y'all do, man. Big name should be. Yes. Soon to be an international holiday. Right now it's a local holiday, but to be honest, I feel like there's somebody everywhere in the world right now. It's 305 somewhere, right? Right, right. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_08

Hey, you know what's crazy I ain't saying on the radio today? Um fun fact. You know, September 11, 1995 was when they finally gave Brow a 954. But before that, Brow was 305. That's right. It was 305, yeah. I never knew that. Yeah, I think it was 1995, right? Yeah, yeah, I was a shorty. But I remember Brow was 305. That is crazy. From the from from the keys all the way on up.

SPEAKER_21

You add a different meaning to September 11th, never forget. Yeah, yeah, never forget that.

SPEAKER_08

Off all the soldiers, remember, you know what I'm saying? Yo, yeah. So what does it mean to be from the 305 to both of y'all? I mean diversity. Diversity. Love, family, culture. The culture, you know what I'm saying? It's you got the Cubans, you got the Haitians, you got the Dominicans, you got the Puerto Ricans, you got the Jamaicans, Bahamians, Venezuelan, like, like we a melting pot. Truly a united state, it feels like. You feel me? It's crazy. We our own place. We are our own place.

SPEAKER_21

It should be our own state for real. It's it's it's weirdo. You pass Broward, it's a completely different world. You feel me? Y'all got some favorite Miami slings? Can I cuss on here? Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, puss, hopeless. Well, why you smoke me out? You got a favorite? Whatever, you know. That's good. All cafecito. I mean unkulada, man. Give me a culana, mommy. But yeah, yeah, no, it's it's it's Miami, we are our own language. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. We are our own slang. So you gotta be from here to understand it, you know what I'm saying? If you're not from here, you're a tourist, baby. You know what I'm saying? And if you're a tourist, baby, then hey. You ain't from Dave. Hey. And on that same note, what's an advice you give to tourists coming to Miami for the first time? Go on the other side of the bridge. That's when you see Miami. Yeah.

SPEAKER_16

I mean, that's where the the good party's at anyway.

SPEAKER_08

He's like, we it's it's a vibe, you know what I'm saying? You gotta know how to move, like anywhere you go, but go on the other side of the bridge, you're gonna have your vibe.

SPEAKER_21

Learn how to move and also keep respect to the locals.

SPEAKER_16

Don't leave on probations. Yeah.

SPEAKER_21

That's not as fun. Don't restrict, don't do it to yourself.

SPEAKER_08

Don't do it, don't do it, don't do it, don't do it. Y'all got any uh new music projects y'all wanna promote or should some light on? Well, you already know me and Smoke, we on tour with Lupe Fiasco. We've been on tour for the last eight years, nine years, eight years, nine years with Lupe Fiasco. We got a new tour coming up. Um I got a uh a project with DJ Killer K. That's my dog Iceberg DJ. You know what I'm saying? So shout out to Billion Bird. Yeah, um, it's called Up Until. I got a single out right now called Up Until and Black Man. Um, we have to be able to do that. We're on 1035 the beat now. Your boy Billy Blues are on there personality. Got the keys, you to come up there. We all that we got the keys to the city. We all know. You let me know. I need you to come and catch your vibe, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, we are that. Yo, OG, thank you so much for coming up.

SPEAKER_16

Appreciate you, bro. And like I said, bro, thank you too for me. Appreciate y'all having us, man.

SPEAKER_21

This city is dope, and I think what makes it dope is people like y'all that put on for the city and make moves and open doors. Always. So we will talk. Miami ain't Miami without y'all.

SPEAKER_08

So appreciate y'all coming on. One last message to the people. You know what I'm saying? Follow us. Um, Billy Blue305 on all Instagram and all platforms.

SPEAKER_16

You got DJ Smoking PBMG and catch it, catch me and Billy Blue on tour. May, June, food and liquor, 20th anniversary tour, city to city, get your tickets now. Yeah. We'll throw through a five-up right quick. Uh huh.

SPEAKER_21

We'll throw through a five up right quick. We out here 305. I appreciate Charlie.

SPEAKER_18

My nigga Aaron, yeah.

SPEAKER_21

And you know, when we're doing Miami, we're talking about Cubans, Puerto Ricans, yeah, Argentinians, Jamaicans, Creole, but we're gonna shout out the Dominicans. Okay, Tyson, and Dominicans. I'm over here with my brother though. Yes, and you know it gets hot out here in Miami, but that's why we need an iceman. You already know what it is, your boy. E B the Iceman. What happened for the NMB standard? What up, y'all? You know that Miami, a colorful city, but it's only colorful because we got colorful people like these two. And I'm I don't just because they're black, but on some real shit. A lot of colorful personalities, a lot of colorful businesses. We're really pulling on, dog, and it's a matter of our personalities. Because the truth is, people don't buy businesses, people buy the person in the business. That really is. I feel like y'all two are good examples of that.

SPEAKER_20

That's a fact. I appreciate that compliment, my nigga. Hell yeah. No, but yeah, it's a I feel like if you're from Dade County, you gotta have some colorfulness in you, my nigga. You know what I'm saying? No getting the pause, you know. Nah, that's real. Yeah, because because you know what I'm saying, we're a colorful city. We like a melting pot. My brother always says that we like from a little bit of everything from everywhere, you know what I'm saying? In one place. A big gula.

SPEAKER_33

Yeah, a big gula.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, really. Which reminder, that's what this country is about. United States, for at the end of the day, I think Miami is the perfect example of that. That's a what does it mean to you both to be from the 305?

SPEAKER_20

Man, listen, man, it's a blessing, man, because it that being part of this culture, man. It's like it's we we unique. We like nobody else. You know what I'm saying? Our music is like nobody else. Our lingo is like nobody else. Our food is like nobody else. You know what I'm saying? We unique and I'm blessed to be part of this. For real, for real. What about you, EB?

SPEAKER_18

Man, listen, I'm happy.

SPEAKER_21

Like, I'm just from my own planet, and it's so it's a blessing.

SPEAKER_18

Like this Miami planet that I live on.

SPEAKER_16

I don't know about the rest of you um intergalactic species, but on this Miami planet, not city, not state of Florida, is a planet, but this Miami planet, this shit lit.

SPEAKER_21

Listen, bruh. Like when you from here and you leave and go somewhere else, oh, they start calling you Miami. Yo, they don't do that for other places, bro. Listen, you know what I'm saying? Hey, little California, little no offense. I fuck with Cali. Yo, but they don't do that. No, and honestly, travel. Anybody listening, go out, walk, leave Miami. You can understand what you got here. Nah, but anyway, Miami means a lot to me, man. Like, just be in front of the city, it like it's a vibe, it's a culture. Like, this is the only city you could go outside and party 24 hours. This is the only city you could go outside and get every single food you want in the world. Think about it. Every culture food. Every food. I'm talking about every every single Latin culture food. Every South American, Central, every motherfucking Caribbean, Jamaican, Haitian. In some places in the United States, you can't even get Haitian cuisine or Dominican cuisine. We get we got Nika food here.

SPEAKER_24

Come on, man.

SPEAKER_21

Shout out my Nika's. Yeah, come on. We got everything, bro.

SPEAKER_20

Everybody can feel at home no matter what you do.

SPEAKER_21

They got a little bit of where you're from over here. We love you. And speaking of home in the crib, what are some of your favorite Miami slangs to say? Some of some Miami shit.

SPEAKER_18

Oh shit.

SPEAKER_21

Man, I don't know, man. What they do for shows. What they do, what they do. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, we're gonna say what they do. It depends on what hood you from.

SPEAKER_17

Cause like if you from like North Miami, nigga might be like, nah, kid, or like, y'all, y'all, y'all, or like that shit buzzing.

SPEAKER_21

Like, say for example, like that shit ain't really like hitting on nothing, or it's not, it's not cool, or that shit lame.

SPEAKER_18

Man, that shit buzzing.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, that shit buzzin', homie. That shit buzzing. And what what's something, what's an advice you'd give to somebody coming out to Miami on vacation? Advice? Somebody coming to Miami?

SPEAKER_33

Advice, yeah.

SPEAKER_21

A tip.

SPEAKER_18

I I'll tell them when you come here, just be ready for some brand new shit you ain't never seen before. Because when you come to this planet, this is a brand new planet you ain't never seen before.

SPEAKER_20

Yeah, man. I say don't listen to the negativity, man. Miami is a very positive city, man. You know what I'm saying? You're gonna come over here and you're gonna be surprised, man. You might want to move over here, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_21

Too many people have come on today and said they moved here after coming out for the first time.

SPEAKER_20

Yeah, but this weather, this weather that doesn't change. You feel like you're on the island, no Easting, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. All the all the time. Yeah, on this planet, we got our own climate. That's a fact.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, it's on planet for real. Yeah, it never snow here. Yo, y'all got any projects you want to promote right quick to the people? Hey, tell them about that.

SPEAKER_20

Yeah, trapping at the penthouse. I got a project with my brother E B the Iceman. Yeah, yeah, it's gonna be crazy. Like my brother said, we're bringing Day County, we put in Day County back in Day County. Yeah, we're gonna put it in Day County back in Day County. Especially on 305 days, I feel like thank you for the LEU because I definitely wanted to promote that. You know what I'm saying? Trapping at the penthouse coming soon with my brother E B the Iceman. Y'all ain't ready for this.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, we got bangers on, bangers on, bangers. Don't forget Tyson from 24th. He's also episode 24 of the Aircast. If you haven't seen the real thing!

SPEAKER_20

Oh yeah, I got an album dropping with my brother Negro Guap on the 20th. Shout out to my nigga Negro! Negative Guap, he got a project dropping right now on the 12th, right now. What's the day?

SPEAKER_15

305?

SPEAKER_20

So let's drop it. 306. Okay. And I'm high, man. I just can't smoke yet. I'm still high. But yeah, and then and then and then zoom in on this. This is what this guy smokes for fun, man. And then on the 20th, we got in the under Miami with me and my brother Negro guap. So that drops is a Spanish tape, you know what I'm saying? Shut up.

SPEAKER_18

Yo, check it out.

SPEAKER_17

Diddy did it. That's my dog. I don't know if he did it. No offense. But this is a new strand now. And my nigga Grinchy, he's somewhere here.

SPEAKER_18

I love how much you came out. I love it. Make sure y'all get the strand. Diddy did it.

SPEAKER_21

It's a new thing.

SPEAKER_18

I don't know what he did, but the strand.

SPEAKER_33

I don't know what he did.

SPEAKER_17

Hey, Grinch! Hey Grinchy! Hey, there's a new strand out.

SPEAKER_21

Hey, hold on, man. I gotta introduce y'all to my dog Grinch, man. Hey, he's gonna be bought, Grinch.

SPEAKER_10

This is my dog strand and him from my life. This is a new strand. They said I was a conspiracy theorist in 2014 when I said he did it. I was selling over the law too. They were wearing two tools. They were wearing tutus when I went to service. Diddy did it, man. Get that pot. Get that pot. I need some sponsorship. Diddy on supporting me, boy. Y'all heard it. We need aid and assistance. I need money. Y'all heard it.

SPEAKER_16

I didn't know who did it, but the strand is called Diddy Did It.

SPEAKER_21

Yo! And you heard it first on 305 days. New strand coming out. The Hair Class. Hair exclusive, THC exclusive. Yo, where can the people follow y'all?

SPEAKER_20

Oh, I'm everywhere. Tyson and Dominicano, Dominicano Tyson. I'm on every platform, Tyson and Dominicano. That doesn't work as Dominicano Tyson for sure. Hey, and check this out.

SPEAKER_17

You can get me. Like he said, he's everywhere. I'm everywhere too. I'm everywhere. They never there.

SPEAKER_33

That's a fact.

SPEAKER_17

Follow me on all platforms.

SPEAKER_21

E B the Iceman. That's E B D A I C E M A N. E B the Iceman on all platforms. And don't forget to log into my new personality. I'm a gamer now. E B the streamer. I kick your fucking ass in Madden. You can get it right now. We're gonna have to run the matter. Madden, you can get it right now. Here, hold on, man. I might refuse the box. Bring other fucking books. I'm not playing. What are you playing? I might ref. It don't matter. Listen, man. I'm not you don't have your own team. It's cool.

SPEAKER_18

Who do you play with? It doesn't matter who you play with. You can pick my playbook and all.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_16

You pick the dolphins, and I'm gonna make you pick my team.

SPEAKER_20

I'm gonna kick your ass. If they ever run it, if they ever run it, if they ever run it, the winner, I'm gonna give them a from somebody else, not from me.

SPEAKER_11

I'ma give them an ounce of some exotic stuff. You know what I'm saying? So they can be like, listen, and check this.

SPEAKER_20

And listen, it might be Diddy did it.

SPEAKER_13

He can pick his baby platform, but you're gonna get it. The winner gets a zip.

SPEAKER_10

I don't know if it's Diddy. You shouldn't believe me in 2015. We don't know who did it. Don't sit on psych on the news. I'm not psych, I'm educated. Who is this guy? Hey, get him out of here.

SPEAKER_21

Yo, I appreciate y'all. And now we got an alumni from the aircast when we did the Miami East Miami episode. Drop that beats back in the building.

SPEAKER_19

Kevila. Thank you so much, my brother, for allowing me to be part participant in your in your podcast, in your event with you and your dad. I I love you guys.

SPEAKER_21

Thank you for being part of the city, bro. Thank you for being part of the 305 and being part of what makes this city dope. The people. You know, it's not just people that create content, but people that are passionate about the city, the Unity Dog. So it's cool to meet the OGs that still show love like this, man. Thank you, brother. Thank you. I appreciate that acknowledgement.

SPEAKER_19

I really do. Thank you. It means a lot. What does it mean to be from Miami? What does it mean to be from the 305 to you? To me, there's an array of things because there's no city like this anywhere. That's why we could go anywhere in the world and instead of saying we're from the United States or saying that we're from Florida, we say we're from where? Miami. And everybody can be like, oh, and they'll relate and they'll and they'll bring a smile to the face. But if you go, let's say to somewhere in New York.

SPEAKER_21

People from New York, they don't say some of them when you get specific, they'll be like oh yeah, I'm from Brooklyn, I'm from there. But sometimes you gotta get out of there. What borough, what borough are you from? Right. Most people say I'm from New York, I'm from New York, I'm from New York, it's New York. Miami people specify, yeah. Thank you out. Because you ask me, I'm gonna say I'm from Haylia. And I'm gonna get into the oh, Hyalea's a city in Miami that you know it's we'll get into the whole thing, you feel me? But yeah, man, it's it's cool to be proud about where you're from.

SPEAKER_19

Right, and it brings a sort of of happiness to certain people when they're not from the United States or from Miami, they're like, oh yeah, I've been there, or I want to go there. So for me, um just the music, the the multiple cultures that we have here that are islanders, right? Pretty much we have a melting pot of different cultures, and all of them are most of them are all Caribbean based. So nowhere, no matter where you go, you're gonna get that that that style and that flavor. If you go to LA, you're gonna get more, you're gonna get Hispanics, but it's not the melting pot that we have here.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, it's a lot, it's predominantly Mexican. You'll see some Cuban here and there, but that's not really part of the culture. You're gonna see Cuban places in LA. I just even not want Cuban place. I saw a bunch of taco spots for fire. But you know, you don't see the Cuban spots. Out here, fritanga, Puerto Rican food, Cuban food, all kinds of Argentinian food, child grassiana. Exactly. It's it's a melting pot for real. And we got some American stuff too, dog, for real. Exactly. Thaisian food, Jamaican food.

SPEAKER_19

It's awesome. Yeah. You have any favorite Miami foods? Everything you just named. Fritanga, freaking everything. I I'm just a connoisseur. I just love food. Uh and I'm not, I don't discriminate on on what style of food. It's hard. It's hard to, especially. Yeah, because we have so much to pick from, right? So that's I think we're extremely spoiled when it comes to the music, the the culture, the food, the women, the weather, the strip clubs, the weather, the strip clubs.

SPEAKER_21

They don't even show uh and up uh up north, they don't show tops and stuff. I learned that. Well, it depends.

SPEAKER_19

If if they if they sell alcohol, they can't be fully named. There's a trade-off, yes. What? So we're we're extremely spoiled because we have one of the biggest, right? If not the biggest strip clubs in the in the nation. Yeah, and there's no every and anything. Facts. Yeah. Yes, yes. Wild.

SPEAKER_33

Wild.

SPEAKER_19

I'm not gonna name no names so they don't get in trouble, but we all know who they are.

SPEAKER_21

If you're listening, you know what time it is. Wait, uh, what's a piece of advice you'd give to somebody coming out to Miami for the first time? Be nice. The city won't be.

SPEAKER_19

Yeah. Say that's all the last part? Because the city won't be. Because the city won't be. Facts. You get what you give. Exactly. Uh, and know where you're going. It's not always sweet everywhere. And what you see in one part of the city doesn't mean you're gonna get that everywhere else.

SPEAKER_21

Don't be scared to ask directions. You got the locals out here, you feel me? Don't go local trying to figure it out. Ask a local. Exactly. Exactly. Where are you got any projects?

SPEAKER_19

Anything you want to shed light on and promote? Yeah, well, I'm still working on my untold stories from behind the board uh docuseries. Uh, we have now 26 episodes recorded. I'm gonna end it probably around 30 to 35 of Miami-based engineers, producers, and executives. Um, we have an array of talent. Uh, I already started uh talking about moving to LA for about two weeks to do another 20 episodes over there for the second season. The first season's all Miami based, and these are legends that have been doing it for 30, 40, 50 years in the music industry behind the scenes that nobody knows who they are, but they're the ones that do love their music, and the way they that they made it sound is because of them. It's not only the artist or the producer, but it's mostly the engineer, the execs that have taken that sound or that music to that level. That they're the ones that spend the most time with that music and people don't know about.

SPEAKER_33

Wow.

SPEAKER_21

It takes the team, dog, but it's true. More than the artist, because the artist might lay down the shit and sometimes you don't even hear the record again. But engineer, producer, mixer, somebody who's on that side of it, you have to live with it. It's gotta really become a part of it.

SPEAKER_19

Sometimes a mix might might take a day or it might take a week. Long. Back in the days, it would take a month or two because you had to you had to actually slice tape real to real. You had to lace it down and actually get a tape and put it on top. If you have to do an edit, it's a lot of disgusting.

SPEAKER_21

Some foods require to be slow cooking. Some dishes gotta be slow cooking for a few years. A million percent.

SPEAKER_19

A million percent. So that's why I'm taking my time with this. I'm not in a rush either to put it out because it's not a podcast. It's not something that is time sensitive or information sensitive. It's me being a historian and me telling history about the culture, about the engineer, about the producer, about the executive, and telling his or her story. And that's what is different from any other uh project that's coming out.

SPEAKER_21

And you want to do that thorough, you want to cross those T's, dot those I've, you want to make sure you get all that.

SPEAKER_19

Exactly. And that's and that's why I've been at this now for going on almost four years now.

SPEAKER_21

Oh, yeah. So it's a good thing. I'm excited to see it in full.

SPEAKER_19

That's that's awesome, man. Um where can the people follow you? Where can the people find you? Uh we you can find me on IG, uh, drop that beats. Uh you could find me also Untold Story from on the board on IG, but instead of an IES, a Y, just because IG doesn't allow more than 30 characters. Fun fact, now you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I had to go ahead and change that a little bit. But uh definitely follow us, see what's coming because everything's gonna be on our own platform. We're not using any other platform, no streaming other platforms, your own website, our own website, our own platform. Everybody can interact within it. Nice. So it's not gonna be like also, I didn't want anybody else owning our IP or our so-called masters. I want to be able to give back the people that were involved their due rights. So I want to make sure that everybody gets what they deserve. If I give it to another streaming platform, they're gonna just take everything and rape us to him come.

SPEAKER_21

It's hard to keep track of like equitable compensation that way, especially when you know you get the big platforms involved.

SPEAKER_19

And then they're gonna go ahead and data mine everybody that we bring to them. So they're gonna go ahead and data mine you if you come sign in. Oh, what do you like? What do you and then take that information and sell it? But you're not making a dollar. But you're not making a dollar for free. Come to my platform, you're gonna make a dollar.

SPEAKER_21

We have a That was hilarious. That was funny. You're good, OG. You're good, OG, you're good. You're good. I believe it. We add it! We edit! We're gonna keep on adding. That's hilarious. We keep right here. We got two more. That was hilarious. Um yeah, well we already told them we're gonna tax. Oh, yeah for doing this, bro.

SPEAKER_19

Oh bro, thank you for always doing it.

SPEAKER_21

I'm overdue already. We gotta do the long form episode for real, okay?

SPEAKER_22

Asa.

SPEAKER_21

You both had my number. Yeah. I'm waiting on you guys.

SPEAKER_44

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_21

Welcome back, folks. Now we got Untamed sitting down with us from Miami as well. What part of Miami is? Yeah, man.

SPEAKER_44

I'm from uh Dade County, 305, Carol City, man. Oh yeah, South Carol City, the Chiefs, right? Yeah, man, all day, all day. Torch is crazy. Yeah, man. You know, I grew up, I grew up in like North Miami for a little bit, then we moved to Carol City, so you know, again, a little rep in Carol City, so you know I rep both sides, but you know, it's all love.

SPEAKER_21

At the end of there's all about the 305, baby. We're all out here. What does it mean being from Miami too?

SPEAKER_44

Man, these shits right here. You know what I'm saying? Repping your hood all day. You know what I'm saying? Just, you know, that straight up Miami attitude, you know what I mean? You know, that you gotta have.

SPEAKER_21

Explain the Miami attitude. What do you think that is?

SPEAKER_44

Man, it's straight up like not being scared, you know what I'm saying, uh doing whatever to get this bread, you know what I'm saying, as far as being uh being a nigga from the hood, you know what I'm saying? Making sure you get that money and uh go ahead and get that don't or however you want stunt, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_21

So all about stunting out here. If you make it out here, you make it anywhere.

SPEAKER_44

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_21

Oh, you had any favorite Miami slang?

SPEAKER_44

Miami slang? Yeah, it's so many dogs. Like, of course, our favorite one is JIT, you know what I'm saying? Jit J's been dominating today. Jit's always been there, so all my life, that's all we do, you know what I'm saying? It's uh Jit, look at this Jit, you know what I'm saying? So I don't even know where that comes from. But we just say that shit.

SPEAKER_21

You're getting a lot of Dolly in Carol City or North Miami? You're getting a lot of dolly? Like doll.

SPEAKER_44

Shit, we get that, but like mostly towards the Miami Lake section, you know where the Chicos be at, you know what I'm saying? Shout out Chicos.

SPEAKER_21

What are some good spots to eat out of Carol City? You got some favorites, uh RP Caramar, right?

SPEAKER_44

Shit. Oh yeah, Caramar. Shout out to Caramar, oh G shit, man. But yeah, man, sure. Part of something to eat, man. I know uh Trick Daddy, he got his spot out there, uh Sunday eatery. Oh wow, yeah. SPEAKER_21

What's your favorite Haitian food? What's like them go to thing at least?

SPEAKER_44

SPEAKER_21

Yo, if you got any projects, any music you want to tell people to check out?

SPEAKER_44

Oh yo, man, I just dropped this music video called uh just another day. You know what I'm saying? Shout out to uh Katsuro Beats, he's from Spain. He did the beats. It's like it's like a real like chill, almost boomback type of vibe. I don't do boomback music, but it just caught me, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_21

It was a different vibe to what your music was. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_44

So I tell a story on there, so I just dropped that with the music video. It kind of went viral, so I appreciate that. And the video is different because it's like telling a story from the point of view of the skateboard, not the person.

SPEAKER_21

Of the skateboard. Stick, like I like a Nash did of a gun, right? I think that's a good one.

SPEAKER_44

Something like that. Oh, that's sick. Oh my god, I gotta watch that. Yeah, the video is about like a younger me coming up in the world in the streets, and also being a skater. You skated, okay. I got the brand Untamed Gorilla. He's one of my shorts right here.

SPEAKER_21

That's sick. Look at a bunch of cartoon with legends, dude.

SPEAKER_44

Oh, that's that's Bill and Bill and Cops play as a Death Note.

SPEAKER_21

Oh, that's what they're doing the Cost Ring is Death Note. Scams? I gotta see how he looks. I gotta see how he looked. They're doing a lot of graphics. He did have an older dude. Oh, yeah. He did have another one.

SPEAKER_44

I remember the track he did with M. Yeah, he rapped with M too, yeah. I remember the track he did with him.

SPEAKER_21

Eminem raps about him on Stan. On Stan he goes, uh one one of them got that underground show. Yeah, one of the versions of the friends. I even got that underground show you did with scam.

SPEAKER_44

When he said scam, I'm like, he's talking about a younger dude, but then I remember scam a rap for your older dude. I was like, oh, I know that dude. Yeah. Yo. Yeah.

SPEAKER_21

Any message to the people you want to give before you get out of here?

SPEAKER_44

Man, keep supporting your local artists and your local business, man. It's all about supporting the locals, man. For real, though. That's what I gotta say.

SPEAKER_21

And supporting the locals means you're supporting yourself. Because what you get in this world is what you give. So we got good energy back, you get it back.

SPEAKER_13

What's up?

SPEAKER_21

Welcome back, folks. Live on 305. Got another one representing the hood, proud as hell. Tell the people where you're from, tell them who you're from.

SPEAKER_36

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, it's cool to be from the city, and it's cool to see so many people proud of being from the city.

SPEAKER_36

Yeah, bro.

SPEAKER_21

From Miami.

SPEAKER_36

Yeah, born and raised.

SPEAKER_21

What does being from Miami mean to you?

SPEAKER_36

Everything.

SPEAKER_21

I love that.

SPEAKER_36

We're literally the greatest city in the country. I I do not think there's another city that can compete with the crib for real.

SPEAKER_21

It's hard. When you factor in the weather, culture, we got everything.

SPEAKER_36

We got our nightlife is better, our food is better, our women are better. The only thing that can compete is traffic.

SPEAKER_21

Traffic is like it's like having a baddie as a girlfriend. Like you're gonna have a bunch of guys get at your girl. If you're living in a popular city, you're gonna have traffic.

SPEAKER_36

Like that's part of the but the crib is is the is the best thing that ever happened to me. I was born here. I I didn't come here. I was born here. Yeah, bro. Yeah. So man, I can I can't think of no other place I would rather be.

SPEAKER_21

And what's been the vibe like outside? You've been here for for for for a minute, right?

SPEAKER_36

Man, I got I got my setup outside. Um, I have my brand. I I know this is our first and second time meeting, but you know I'm an artist here from me and Untamed, the guy that you had on earlier. We have a song together.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_36

So yeah, I'm an artist here from the crib representing and tell people the name of the song with Untamed. Um the song with me and Untamed is called WTF, which stands for what the, you know. So when you put it Untamed 305, you'll see the song with me and him on there. It's fire. It's really going crazy.

SPEAKER_21

Okay. Uh any Miami artists you'd love to collab with?

SPEAKER_36

Oh man. I'm working on a project right now, and I got a few Miami artists. Alright, I can give a Alright, so Piccolo.

SPEAKER_18

Piccolo!

SPEAKER_36

Yeah, so I got I got something I'm working on with Piccolo. He's fire. I really want to work with Trick. I ain't gonna lie. Trick is really the most underrated. Man, he's so fire. Hip hop legend. He's a legend, bro. I'm I ain't gonna lie. It's like to me, getting a Trick Daddy verse is like getting a Jay-Z verse. To me. Damn near as impactful, to be honest, man. Yeah, it's that it's that much impact. I don't think no, I don't think Trick has ever given out a feature and it wasn't fired.

SPEAKER_21

Fox. Fox, wow. What's a bad name a bad trick for cloud daddy?

SPEAKER_36

Name a bad trick daddy feature. You can't. You cannot.

SPEAKER_21

You got any favorite Miami slings?

SPEAKER_36

Uh shoot, we know them all. I'm well, I'm from North Miami, so we got a lot of what do you hear a lot of North Miami? Man, you green. You green. I like that. You green. You know, look, you know, we call females, we call them dimes. Dimes, yeah, dimes are big. Uh man, everything. You know, jit, that's the that's the Jit's been dominating today. Everybody says jit. Every other city, you did not create the word jit. This came from the crib. Jits? Dog. Y'all basically are jits. You're basically our jit. You know what made me realize that? You know the song Week The Weekend has a song. He said, Ever since I was a J I've in the shit. I was like, what?

SPEAKER_21

Ever since I was a Jid, I done a jit. Yeah. Yeah, that is crazy. That is crazy. Wow.

SPEAKER_36

They're stealing our slang, bruh. Remember, Miami in reality is the originators of all of it, bro. The or Uncle Luke. All you IG models. All you IG models need to thank Uncle Luke. You would have no job. He made it possible for only fan. Only fans need to thank him. Remember, we're if we're freedom of twerking. Real talk. Exactly.

SPEAKER_21

Freedom of expression, real talk.

SPEAKER_36

Twerking. Period. Twerking it from from that from its evolution. He was the guy that started it. And I don't really think people grasp how big Uncle Luke is as big as Eazy E. If not bigger.

SPEAKER_21

Easy E didn't go to Supreme Court for music.

SPEAKER_36

Yes. Yes. Uncle Luke is just as big as Master P. Yo. But they don't treat Uncle Luke like that.

SPEAKER_21

That's why we gotta show our legends a little bit.

SPEAKER_36

This is our time to show our legends really the truth. Uncle Luke is one of the biggest. He really is a staple when it comes to all of it. All you IG models, all you twerkers, all of it. Thank Uncle Luke. B E T Un. RP Ice was true, right?

SPEAKER_21

RP First Kid Ice, right?

SPEAKER_36

Yes, first kid ice.

SPEAKER_21

For real.

SPEAKER_36

B.E.T. Uncut.

SPEAKER_21

None of that exists. Miami's in the blueprint of all that.

SPEAKER_36

The movie, the movie Players Club. That was all inspired by Miami, bro. That's crazy. That was all inspired by Miami. That's true, that's true, that's true. Yeah, that's crazy.

SPEAKER_21

Yo, any special uh words to anybody out here from Miami watching?

SPEAKER_36

Man, to be honest, I ain't gonna lie. Me and Untain got some stuff coming up. It was I I and I hate to give it all away, but man, we got some fire coming. I got a few songs. My birthday's in April. My birthday is the day after 420. Oh, 421? Yeah, my birthday's 421. So I got some um I got a couple of songs I'm getting ready to drop in April. So I'm just polishing them up like it's a don't, you know what I'm saying? Making sure loading up the clip and getting ready to work. Uh my brand has really been going crazy. Plug it, yeah.

SPEAKER_21

Let them know. Let them know where they can find.

SPEAKER_36

Yeah, um, I don't see if you if you haven't seen already, I'm everywhere. You go on Instagram, you put in RNS clothing, RS underscore clothing. That's my brand. If you go on Instagram, you find me at DMoney3M. You can easily find me. I'm every RS stands for uh Real Ninja S? Nah, it stands for Respect Never Sleeps. I like that. That's good. But that's why I did it. See, I like to take things and make it better. Because RS, that's the greatest acronym. That's a great acronym. RS Exactly. So now I just took it and elevated it. So now it stands for Respect Never Sleep. Yup, that's true. It's true. You want to be respected at all times, even when you sleep.

SPEAKER_21

And that's a big thing out here in Miami, respect. Regardless of where you're from, regardless of what you believe in, who you are. We don't care. Miami's a melting pot for that reason. Yes. As long as you keep respect, it's gonna take you a long time.

SPEAKER_36

No disrespect to LA. And I think that's why Miami's better than LA. Because they got gang culture. You gotta watch what you wear.

SPEAKER_21

And that exists out here, but the truth is it's there's a respect out here where that's never like it's it kind of lives in its world.

SPEAKER_36

It lives in its world. Ain't nobody's gonna walk up to you and be like, respect.

SPEAKER_21

Because of the OG respect. Because of the OG respect.

SPEAKER_36

You know what I'm saying? They're not gonna do that.

SPEAKER_21

That's important.

SPEAKER_36

Yeah, bro. And I I love that about the crib. Like, even though we savages, because we are savages, we just move different. We don't we don't step on toes, but we handle business. Let the people know where they can follow you. Make sure you put in your Instagram right now. You go to at DMoney3M and you'll find me. And if you can't find me, come find me. I got you. Y'all tap in.

SPEAKER_21

Tap, tap, tap in, and let us know in the comments. What your favorite piece of his merch is.

SPEAKER_36

Oh man, if you check out my Instagram, man, French Montana just got some. Lil' Duval. Man, I've I've started from We need you need a Jeremy out of the card, man. We gotta get some shit up, though. This would have been perfect. Yeah, that is mostly well. Man, I went crazy for UM. Yo. When we I mean, I went crazy for UM. Perfect time to do it, man.

SPEAKER_21

What? Um, we got Drea in the building representing Miami Legends, Miami Royalty here. Thank you so much for sitting with us. What does it mean to be from the 305?

SPEAKER_39

For me, it means everything because I'm a first generation American. My parents came from Venezuela to the United States to look for a better future for our family. Very important. Uh so it means a lot, you know, it's a lot of responsibility, and I'm very happy to say that I'm doing what I love, just like you are. So it really means everything to be from a city that's so diverse and so many different things. We're surrounded by so much talent, so many great people, uh, and we have a beautiful community, so that means everything to me.

SPEAKER_21

When you say responsibility, what comes to mind?

SPEAKER_39

Responsibility means really living up to the expectation of greatness. You know, um I think that sometimes in life you steer in different directions, but we have a moral compass that always tells us where we really need to be, what we really need to be doing. So, with that being said, I think self-awareness is something that people like you and I that have these platforms, we have a responsibility to preserve our culture and to make sure we make a name for ourselves and carry that name of our family and of our ancestors with great pride.

SPEAKER_21

Pride, that's key word, being proud of where you're from, being proud of where you're going. You know, that that only is part of you knowing where you're from. So shout out to everybody representing the city. Um, do you have any favorite Miami movies? Movies that take place in Miami?

SPEAKER_39

Listen, right now I just saw the pit with uh the rip with uh Pen Affleck in the movie? With Pen Affleck, yeah. Some of the things I would have tweaked it up, but I gotta say that's a really good Miami Hayali movie. I thought about your dad when I saw it a lot. Um some people liked it, some people didn't, but I I thought it was a pretty cool perspective of of some of the things that have happened in our state.

SPEAKER_21

We made it Hayalian, we're in the culture, we're in Netflix, guys. It's awesome. Yo, we were also in Netflix too with Operation Odessa, which is like a documentary about uh the triples. I don't know if you know, on the Cuban submarine is a crazy, crazy. Uh any favorite Miami slang? Miami what? Slangs, like like uh code words I hear.

SPEAKER_39

Listen, I'm a Kendall girl, so I say bruh. Bruh, yes, bro, all the time. I need to actually get it out of my vocabulary, so that's definitely one of my topics oh god.

SPEAKER_21

That's a good one. Any advice for anybody coming to Miami for the first time? Any church traveling on vacation to Miami?

SPEAKER_39

Uh my advice to anybody traveling to Miami is to just really embrace it. There's a lot of different sides of Miami aside from just South Beach. Uh so I would say get connected with someone who really knows the city, like you or I. Uh, and we could definitely show you the real Miami. Where can they find you? They can find me at 305 underscore brownie. Uh, and you can also find me at Dreading Mob Productions. We're also here with 305 Radio. We got a couple of uh tags on there that you can follow, but definitely at 305 underscore brownie.

SPEAKER_21

Yes, and thank you for coming on.

SPEAKER_39

Thank you so much for having me on. You gotta come on to our podcast as well.

SPEAKER_21

It's already out, you've probably already seen it, but uh we have just air, we're so proud of you.

SPEAKER_39

We really, really are, and we love what you're doing in the community and in the podcast community as well. So keep rocking, man.

SPEAKER_21

Thank you so much. You too, my lovers. Welcome back, folks. Now we got ESC promotions sitting down with us.

SPEAKER_17

Yo, from Miami. I'm I'm Cuban, raised in Puerto Rico, and I was born, I was born in New Jersey. Puerto Rico's high right now, yo.

SPEAKER_21

Shout out to Bamboni, Sal Benito, shout out Apalone, everything's crazy, man.

SPEAKER_17

Facts, facts. Shout out everybody out there, man. Okay, but you're tied up. You're always in Miami, you definitely live here. Yeah, yeah. Well, my family lives here. We uh matter of fact, you know, uh I have family, you know, brothers to the rescue. And Mano and Recate, you know what I mean? We actually have our own street here, but they helped out a lot of the Cubans here in Miami, you know, when the Raptors were coming over from Cuba. Legendary, wow. And um, Fidel Castro had blown up some of the defenseless planes in 1996.

unknown

Wow.

SPEAKER_17

So, yeah, yeah, big, big history here in Miami. So they was like connecting the bridge type. Um, well they the rafters were coming over, and he was like, you know, they were dropping food and water from the sky. Fidel didn't like that. Fidel Castro didn't like that. And in 1996 he sent uh a MiG-23 and a MiG 29, and he blew them up out of the sky.

SPEAKER_21

Wow.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, yeah, big news here in Miami. That's a story.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, that's crazy. Okay. So, and do you have any fucking Miami slangs that always mess your head up? Like Miami words are you like that?

SPEAKER_17

Um, not really, man, because I've been around for such a long time. But I've I've lived in so many different places. But my grandma lived over here off of Burr Road. Oh, yeah, yeah. I used to go to Burr Bowl and you know and play, you know, how we used to have competitions in the games and stuff, they the video games Street Fighter, Motor Car. Street Fighter, okay, all the games and shit. Okay. So you're nice with the games enjoying it. So I started my you know my music business here in uh in Florida, ESE Promotions, uh, and um I took it, I took it all the way up, man. You know what I mean? So being a publicist and a casting director to uh Miami's number one talk show at Show de la Noche con Joan and Rocher, Canada. And um and now I'm making moves around the world, uh taking independent artists and touring them around the world. And is ESC a promo uh an abbreviation or is it like SC? It's actually the no, it's not SC because I'm not I'm not it's not Mexico. I'm not Mexican, I'm Cuban raised in Puerto Rico. So ESC actually stands for the classes that I was in here in Florida. Oh, exceptional students education. I didn't know. It became Elvis' Spectacular Entertainment. I was called it so much, oh you're ESC, uh, you know what I mean? I was picked on by it. That I actually took the name. I'm like, all right, now you gotta call me Mr. ESE. But it's a it's an acronym. Now, now it's you know it was exceptional students education, and now it's Elvis' Spectacular Entertainment.

SPEAKER_21

I'm not a businessman, I'm a business man. That's it, that's the business man. And uh, so advice for anybody, you know, maybe uh coming out to Miami for the first time. You got any tips we could give them?

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, be yourself. Don't don't try to be uh, you know, something that you're not out here because we see it quick, man, you know what I mean? Real quick, you know what I mean? We get lo tevorone tanga el agua. What I mean by that is, you know, the sharks are in the water. Don't come out here like, you know what I mean? You know, just like we do when we travel out of, you know, out of, you know, we respect. We it's all about respect. It's all about respect. But come on, have a good time, man. This place is about partying and you know, enjoying the vibe. So, you know, everybody come on down to Miami, baby. We we we waiting for you, man. It's live down here, baby. We live on 305, baby. Paradise, baby. Oh, where can they find you? At ESE Promotions, everything. I love it. Yeah. Any any special message to the people before you get out of here? Yeah, man, just uh be yourself, man. Believe in yourself and and uh do what it is that you want to do in life. Don't let nobody stop you. Everybody says that, and people say it's kind of hard. But if you stay on that path long enough, you'll you'll figure out, you know, you're gonna wind up exactly where you need to be.

SPEAKER_21

You're where you need to be watching this, so appreciate y'all, man. Yo, how awesome. In the words of Piccolo, y'all know. Well, right now we got Yundo sitting with us, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, man. You already know it's your boy Yundo in the building, always feeling like a million.

SPEAKER_21

I love that. Okay, for like a minute, uh yo, gotta feel like money to make some money, right?

SPEAKER_02

Definitely. Are you from Miami? I'm actually not originally from Miami, Port St. Lucie. Fort St. Lucie, okay. You're a Florida baby, right? Definitely, but I would say the city of Miami always shows me love. You know what I'm saying? Like, and I'm always out here for music and stuff like that. I got family out here, so I would say it's like my second home.

SPEAKER_21

What do you think it is about Miami that makes it Miami? What's something that stands out to you when you come out here?

SPEAKER_02

Oh man. I would say the culture and it's just a different vibe, you know what I mean? It's like a lot of a lot of, it's very active.

SPEAKER_21

Active is a good way to put it, yeah. Motion.

SPEAKER_02

It's very live in 305, you know.

SPEAKER_21

Live in 305. I see what you did there. Yeah, it's okay, hell yeah. And what's um, you being from Port St. Lucie, you do a lot of traveling to Miami, right? What's a piece of advice you'd give to somebody coming up to Miami?

SPEAKER_02

Uh I would say um That's a good one. I would say uh, you know, just be open-minded, try new things. Uh once you come to Miami, you'll start meeting different types of people and and you'll feel the flavor, but no matter what, they'll definitely make you feel at home and you won't want to leave, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_21

It's a melting pot for real. It's a little bit of something for everybody out here, I think. Yeah. Do you uh and we can open up to Florida? What are some slangs that they say out there that they maybe say out here in Miami?

SPEAKER_02

Uh they probably say jit, you know. Jit, it's a big one. You know what I mean? Uh you know what I mean? Uh maybe Dale, you know. Dale. All types of stuff.

SPEAKER_21

Are you are you Latino or are you from or is your family from originally?

SPEAKER_02

Uh so yeah, my dad, I'm African American. On my mom's side is German Dutch. Oh, really?

SPEAKER_21

So you're already just learning Spanish in the Yeah, all the time, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Um I don't judge, I just kind of like bounce around and you know what I mean. I I meet different people and I make family, you know.

SPEAKER_21

I think that's more powerful because learning Spanish and you're not Spanish. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_02

Definitely, definitely.

SPEAKER_21

You can easily pick up all the other ones too for family.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and just being in Florida and in that type of environment, you kind of you kind of merge into it, you know. You kind of kind of submerge yourself, you're submerged in different cultures, so you kind of pick it up naturally.

SPEAKER_21

Have you got cubic coffee yet?

SPEAKER_02

A little bit, yeah. I'd be careful with the coffee though, because regular coffee gets me up. Yeah, but cubic coffee.

SPEAKER_21

On the roof? We are yo uh any projects you want to promote, anything you want in spotlight?

SPEAKER_02

Definitely, man. Well, you already know, man. On March 19th, you're gonna see I have a new song. It's called Move Your Feet. It's an Afro House Dance Banger. Make sure you check that out. And make sure you stay tuned to check us out. We're about to go uh overseas on tour the euro.

SPEAKER_21

Nice. Where are you visiting in Europe?

SPEAKER_02

Uh Copenhagen, Denmark.

SPEAKER_21

Copenhagen is nice, it makes great cigarettes. I don't think cigarettes, but at the brand, I don't know. Well, shout out Copenhagen, come see my boy out here performing. And uh, yo, anywhere else you'd like to perform? Uh Dream City to perform at?

SPEAKER_02

Everywhere. I performed here a couple uh a couple years ago as a dancer. But it'd be it'd be dope to get on the stage here and um you know really give Miami a vibe.

SPEAKER_21

Oh yeah. Yeah, Miami's a vibe, and you're a vibe for tuning in. Make sure y'all follow them and um appreciate you. Hey Primo. Everything uh Yo. Welcome back, folks. Special episode here. SPEAKER_11

What do you think? Right now it's the rip. Because Haile is the main character in the movie. Oh for real! Shout out Jackson. Yeah, yeah. That's my favorite movie right now. Really? Miami movie, yeah. I gotta see it, I gotta see it. You never seen it? Yeah, I know about the story and stuff, but I haven't watched it yet.

SPEAKER_15

All they do is edit and make music and work out.

SPEAKER_11

The best part of the movie is based on true events, so I like how they put that. I hate how um who was it, Ben Affleck?

SPEAKER_20

Ben Affleck, yeah.

SPEAKER_11

He didn't he didn't uh pronounce Haileyah the right way. What did he say? Healyyah? He said some bullshit, but uh Matt Damon, Matt Damon pronounced it the correct way. Really? Awesome. What the hell? They have a link. You would think Ben Affleck would have uh said it right. Anna the Admus and Jennifer Lopez, probably a reason why they even did this shit in Hollywood.

SPEAKER_21

Jesus Christ. J-Lo, Anna the Admis, where you at? We need you uh here to turn it up. Alright, so besides the riff, what's another classic Miami movie? Oh, it gotta be Scarface.

SPEAKER_11

Scarface. Scarface first, then everything after. What's everything after? Uh uh, I think a slept on Miami movie is what's the football movie with the Miami Sharks. Jamie Foxx. Oh, any given Sunday? There you go.

SPEAKER_21

Wow, that's a good idea for a Miami movie. Another Ace Ventura with Dan Marino, that's actually all in Miami. Flipper, legendary flippers in Miami, right? Yeah. Crazy damn yo, Miami. Also, you could do the Bad Boys series. Bad Boys, too fast to fear. I'm not a fast to fear.

SPEAKER_11

Right? That's a whole five. Bad boys being in that five of Miami movies.

SPEAKER_21

The top five.

SPEAKER_11

I think we just threw a bunch of top five?

SPEAKER_21

So what are the top five? We got Scarface gotta be one. That's one.

SPEAKER_20

What else are we for here?

SPEAKER_21

Bad boys too, right? Bad boys two. Yeah. Ace Ventura. Ace Ventura? How do you not say Ace Ventura? Sometimes people say I look like Ace Ventura.

SPEAKER_11

Um Then we gotta, then you gotta really deep dive.

SPEAKER_21

Too fast, too fierce. Oh, we already said Scarface, yeah. Scarface is good, but that's cool, that's a three. Let's keep it as a three. That's why we do those big three on the phone. Yeah, and it's 305 as well. Yo, what does Miami mean to you, bro?

SPEAKER_11

Miami means everything. You know, uh growing up in Hyale, which I almost separate the two, but it is Miami in itself. I mean, I'm so I'm so grateful to be raised here and be a part of the culture. It's so live outside and it's early. The party ain't even start yet.

SPEAKER_21

That's some Miami stuff here. It's like some real Miami energy where the party starts early, you know, goes to late. It might be the Cuban community, it might be the Latino community, it might just be the Miami, it might be something in the water, but yeah, Florida's turned up. Miami's the best.

SPEAKER_11

Shout out Miami, shout out everybody listening. Hey, I know you were uh here at the last event. What do you expect out of today?

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, honestly, it's a bigger venue, bigger event, more vendors. Shout out Derek G. Only and Dade coming through as well. Big shout-outs to Derrick. Yeah, man, shout out to Derrick. Miami Legend.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, man. Ayalia Pillar.

SPEAKER_21

Let me get one of those Super Day towers. Super Dade in the building. Shout out to Super Dade as well, sponsoring the show and help us hip hop every Wednesday. Real Dade, real date county the big Miami Dade County in the building. So get another one. Go by the booth, get another pressure. This is for Boston Lady V in the building. So you gotta clean one though. What's what's something people get wrong about Miami? Get wrong? Yeah. We already passed that? It's good, it's a pro, this is the first one.

SPEAKER_11

Um what do people get wrong?

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, what's something you a big misconception about Miami? Or let's flip it. What's something you want people to know about Miami?

SPEAKER_11

I think the best part of Miami is that you can find something to do at whatever time of the day, at whatever time of the night. Just because you ain't run into it, you don't know somebody. But you can run into something on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, at whatever time. And obviously the weekend is a whole nother animal.

SPEAKER_21

And you're an animal too for listening. Miami. Your pockets might not like it, but there's always something going on. Anything you want to plug before you get out of here, bro? Any shout outs? Any any projects you wanna highlight?

SPEAKER_11

Go listen to the last chat we dropped with Nick Garcia, O'Rion, Money Mobly, and myself, Colada. It's on all streaming platforms. We just dropped a video for it. And so stay tuned, the Pro The Artists. We got more coming. 2026 about to be a bang. Shout out to UV, shout out to the Aircast, whole team.

SPEAKER_11

Shout out to Belief for sure. Alright.

SPEAKER_21

Yo, welcome back, folks. Now we got Super Dade in the house representing. Tell the people who you are, tell them what you're representing.

SPEAKER_04

Uh yeah, my name is Alex Barrain. Uh, also known as A.Boo305 on Instagram. Uh, but a lot of people may know me for my work and contribution behind the brand. Uh Superdade. Um, Super Dade is a lifestyle brand that I created dedicated to uh to my community, to my city where I'm from, man. I really wanted to create something that uh that Miami people could be proud of. I think a lot of things Miami are here today, gone tomorrow, unfortunately. Or um, you know, the support system isn't always there. We get a lot of uh out-of-towners, a lot of immigrants that that that I'm a I'm a product of immigrants myself, but you know, we got a new influx of out of towners. Transplants, yeah, yeah. New influx of transplants every day. The city's changing every day. Your favorite uh uh Miami institutions are are just gone overnight sometimes, and it's it's hurtful. So I think a brand like Super Dave, among many other brands, up-and-coming brands out there, you know, I I feel like we're very necessary in the atmosphere of Miami, and uh, you know, just just putting ourselves out there or championing, championing, championing? Championing, yeah, big both artists, big bro. Our locals, our our our our bars, our our businesses and stuff like that. And that's really what Super Day is all about. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_21

What's one piece of advice you give to somebody coming to Miami for the first time? What's a piece of advice you give them?

SPEAKER_04

Coming to Miami for the first time. Oh man. I don't have advice for you. Don't take no advice. Figure it out your damn self. Yo, man. That's some real Miami stuff. Shake hands, man. Meet people. Don't be afraid to uh look. Miami people are mean. Miami people are rude, or they can be, but yo, break our shell, man. Come talk to us. Get us out our comfort zone. Make us shake your hand. You know what I'm saying? Bring something to the table. You coming out to Miami to follow your dreams, follow your heart. That's cool. That's a beautiful thing. But come fuck with locals, man. Come to our local events, come touch the people. Um, locals don't want to hear shit from out of town is like, like, like, like, oh, I don't understand the Miami culture. Where where is it? Like, bro, we're outside, man. And a day like 305 Day is so important to us because we don't get the the recognition we really deserve. You know what I'm saying? We gotta do it ourselves. We gotta give ourselves a recognition to the world starts giving it to us. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I could go on a tangent about this. Yeah, let me know if you're gonna do it.

SPEAKER_21

Do you have any favorite local Miami businesses? You wanna shout out?

SPEAKER_04

Any favorite local Miami places to eat at? Anything like that? Oh man, local spots, uh man, let me see. Businesses, yeah. Businesses. I gotta rock with my with my Caribbean restaurants, you know. Um I gotta rock with uh uh uh uh Silver Spoon, Jamaican food. Nice uh down in Peran. I gotta shout out Slack Pass, I'm in Peran in South Miami Heights. I gotta I gotta shout out uh man tacos and tattoos, Nikki's beer brewery. Who who else? Who else, man? 35. Oh, shit.

SPEAKER_21

SPEAKER_04

Representing for the county, man, representing for the whole Tri-County, South Florida. Uh, we need stuff like this. We need platforms like this. It's it's it's important. It's it's what we've all truly wished for and hoped for in the past. And look at us today, man. We're making shit happen, man. We need people like you to be proud proud about where they're from and the city, man.

SPEAKER_21

SPEAKER_21

SPEAKER_04

Yo, that's awesome. Stepping home, thanks for chilling with us. Are you from Miami? Yeah, I'm actually born and raised, man. Born and raised, cool. What does it mean to be from the 305? What does it mean? Yeah, what does it mean to you to be from the 305?

SPEAKER_05

Home, man. Home. Home, huh? Yeah, dude, 100%.

SPEAKER_21

The three?

SPEAKER_05

Is that no, no, this is the home.

SPEAKER_21

Oh, it almost looks like there's a five, it's supposed to be, but okay. You know what?

SPEAKER_05

You're giving me ideas, and I like this. I like where this is going.

SPEAKER_21

What do we do here on the aircast? We share ideas. Wait, so you speak Spanish?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I actually I understand it better than I speak it, but yeah, 110% I understand.

SPEAKER_21

So when I say oh yeah, you know what I mean? I guess okay, cool, cool. Awesome. Tell me about the music. You're doing all kinds of music.

SPEAKER_05

Hip hop, right? Oh more like RB type of stuff. Kind of, man. Like my my I naturally do more rock music. Um I when I collab, I'm I can do more like electronic things, but my my roots, everything is more rock. More rock music. What do you listen to growing up in Miami? Or is it rock? Um I guess I actually the last thing I like I listened to was rock, man. More I got into that more in my teenage years. So, you know, a little bit more hip hop, like backpack hip hop music, um, pop music. Yeah, yeah. Ironically enough, and then eventually I just like grew into rock, and that's what I fell in love with later in life. Yeah, man.

SPEAKER_21

I feel I feel like we there needs to be more new rock acts out though. Like, I feel like it's almost like rock is like kind of like where Roger Tono was at for a long time, where there's the same rock artists. Like, I go out, I hear the same Licking Park songs all the time with the rockets. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah. I mean, I I think rock's coming up now. Um one of the one of the groups I like following, it's a band called Sleep Token. They're doing amazing, amazing all over the world now, man. But I feel you. I think especially like down here, I think down here it it would be nice to see a nice little explosion again.

SPEAKER_21

Do you have any spots you go to out here that you could put me on? Like if I want to go have like a rock night or an emo night?

SPEAKER_05

Um I'd say Fort Lauderdale, Revolution, the Culture Room, that type of area. I don't Miami used that used to be a lot more places uh than the pandemic happened, but yeah. That's kind of I stick more to like the Broward area for that.

SPEAKER_21

Good. Okay. And growing up in Miami, do you have like a favorite food that you would eat out here? Like some Miami shit that you can't find nowhere else? Oh shit, man.

SPEAKER_05

Hold on. Uh not really, man. Not that I can think of the top of my head, bro. I'm a really big pizza fan.

SPEAKER_21

Pizza? Okay, what's your favorite pizza spot?

SPEAKER_05

Uh well, I just found one off of Davy. I can't remember the name off the top of my head. Mamma Mia's, something like that. I think it's Mamma Mia's.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, that's that's pretty on brand though.

SPEAKER_05

Pretty classic, bro.

SPEAKER_21

Mamma mia.

SPEAKER_05

Nice. What about you, man? What's your favorite food?

SPEAKER_21

Um favorite foods, tough, tough, tough food. I would say if we went by the numbers, what I've ate the most amount like is probably Cuban food.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, 110%. You can't go wrong with that.

SPEAKER_21

Maybe maybe I think Italians always good though. Italians are shit, but I love sushi too, man. Yeah, I think uh when it comes to food though, in Miami, I think what's cool about it is that there's so many different foods. So we got like Fitanga, Nicaraguan food, uh, you got Cuban food, you got the Puerto Rican stuff, you got the Haitian stuff, you got the frio. Bro, it's a lot of different options out here, man. It's hard to stick to one. I hear like New York people, they just got pizza. And it's like, damn.

SPEAKER_05

But that's not a bad pizza, man. I only had that once in my life. Yeah. Timeless.

SPEAKER_21

Any advice you give to somebody coming to Miami for the first time?

SPEAKER_05

Oh man. Get ready for a wild time. Get ready for a wild time, man. That's definitely 110%. City doesn't freaking sleep, and um, yeah, just a bunch of awesome, awesome people. The city never sleeps. Yeah, just like New York, but uh a little different. Same same, but different, but still same, same.

SPEAKER_21

Yo, I I hear clubs shut down in New York at like two o'clock. That does not exist here, bro. Not here, man. Not here. Not here, bro. Any projects you're working on right now that you want to promote to the people? Any anything new coming up?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, um, I'm working on some solo projects right now. Uh Joe Ora is what I go by, and that's how I've been promoting things. But I also work with a few of the artists. Uh, Pro the Artist, he's here tonight. Shout out Pro! Yeah, 2332. Yeah, man. Uh, we've been working a lot together lately, and uh as long as well as with another artist, his name is called the Tower Ghost. And uh so the three of us have been making music lately, the last few months, man, and so that's kind of what we've been pushing out lately. That's a good thing. And where can they find it?

SPEAKER_21

Where can they follow you? Can you spell uh can you spell uh the info for the code?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah, um on Instagram, um, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, iTunes. Uh for me, you can follow Joe Aura Music, uh ProThe Artist, and Tower Ghost plays with me, so you can follow as long as you follow me, you'll follow him. And comment down below and let us know your favorite song from Joe Aura.

SPEAKER_21

So I can check it out too if I haven't already. Yo, thank you for tuning in, man. Thanks for tapping in, bro.

SPEAKER_18

SPEAKER_21

I look forward to that, man. I'll be honored. Yo, let's get it, bro. Thank you, man. Yo, you know we gotta get right. Hold on, let's start this right. Hey yo! Yo, thank you for coming too and thank you for representing the floor. Overdue, overdue, overdue. Live with 305. You know we had to get Curly J to get us right. What does it mean to be from the 305?

SPEAKER_27

Uh, you know, representing, I think that's the first one. Um I think that should be in everybody's blood. The first thing we do is represent. The second thing we do is uh, oh my bad. No. The first thing we do is represent. We represent the culture. And number two, we follow through. Uh anybody and anything that's representing the culture, that's what we're doing.

SPEAKER_21

100%. It's about repping the hood and being proud about where you're from. That's been an ongoing theme today with uh 20 plus people we've got on. Everybody, a lot of people have said respect. Respect and being proud about where you're from. Facts. When you think of Miami, Curly, what's one of your favorite Miami slangs out here?

SPEAKER_27

Uh JIT. JIT, yeah Jit is legendary. I use JIT every day. Uh you know, I'm around so many different people. So uh when I say JIT, people are like Yeah, they you know, and so I get the pleasure of explaining, like, yo, that's a fella. So now you hear people like following along. You're putting people onto JIT. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I got you. Jit is one of my favorites, though. Any other ones? What's another go-to? Um I wanna say for show. For show.

SPEAKER_21

Y'all ain't know. Yeah. I wanted to give something right. You feel me? I didn't want to just say, hey, go to Chili's.

SPEAKER_21

Well, I'm sorry, what's that? I say movies, but I like this too. I like this too. I like this too. Hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up. Rewind, we'll talk about mus uh music after. But listen, movies. A favorite movie, I want to say Scarface, bro. Scarface is the goal, it's just like I observed that movie so many times, you know, and every scene, everything that uh Brian De Palma does in that movie, to me, I'm like, yo, I need like, you know, even if a lamp is set up in the right corner, like a night at a 90 degree angle, I'm like, he did that. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'll you know.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, and who doesn't think about scribers when you're on Ocean Drive?

SPEAKER_27

But no, if I would have to say, you know, that new one with uh uh Ben Affleck and let me tell you, I watched that and my girl was mad because I'm never interested in any movies, right? But that motherfucker, I was there like this. And she was mad. But it was a great movie overall. Uh, not only goaded people on that, right? It had me confused the entire time because I was like, yo, crazy them up. Like, yo, like you know at the end they ended up being like, yo, they're homies, you know what I'm saying? Like, they locked in. I gotta watch it. They they know they're playing the game. You get what I'm saying? And they know, bro, that's crazy. It was amazing.

SPEAKER_21

It was a great it was a any advice for anybody coming to Miami for the first time?

SPEAKER_27

If you come into Miami, don't get scammed. Don't get scammed. That's fire. I say that every time. Not uh stripper first and foremost, but you know, um, tap in. I want to say, like, if you if you invest into knowing the culture, into knowing you're gonna find someone who's not gonna tax you or wax you, and they're gonna be willing to work with you. But the thing is, when people come out here, they meet that photographer that's from Colorado or from Memphis or whatever it is, and then they're waxing and they're like, oh, those people from Miami are waxing. Nah, it just happens to be that guy from Memphis lives over here, and you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_21

So it's not really a Miami guy, I guess.

SPEAKER_27

You know, but that's what I'm saying. Imposter. Come come tap in with the roots. Oh, yeah. Anything you want to promote.

SPEAKER_21
